Chinese is a tricky language. Unlike other languages where you can say things like "I read German, I speak German, and I write German", there's a distinction between reading, speaking, and writing Chinese.
You write in Chinese.
You read Chinese.
However, you speak a dialect of Chinese (which there are over hundreds). Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Shanghainese are all dialects of the Chinese language.
Mandarin is the official language for both China and Taiwan. They speak the same language. Therefore regardless of if a drama is from China or Taiwan, it would sound exactly the same (only anyone who speaks the dialect can hear the difference). That's why you made the mistake in thinking the two were separate.
Im sorry, but are their voices dubbed or something?? Their voices sound weird & unnatural.
The voices are indeed dubbed. It's not to insult the actors or anything like that, but China likes to do that with all their dramas. You're probably thinking, "Wait, this isn't a mainland China drama, it's a Taiwan one." This is also true, but you have to take a look at who produces the drama. If a Taiwanese company produces it, they don't dub the voices and just keep it as the regular actors' voices. If, however, a Chinese company produces it, they DO add the dubbing feature (which may or may not annoy you). A Shanghai company produces this drama, so they add the dubbing. Easily said, they believe that the new voice is a better fit so that they can really get the character's emotions out. Again, not saying they think the actor's acting is lacking. It's just a common thing they do to add emphasis on a character.

It's going to air on the 18th. Originally it was planned for the 4th but because of the Olympics, everything got pushed back two weeks. First Gentlemen's Dignity has to air its finale, then Five Fingers will start.

There's a reason they're dubbing the voice. No matter how great a actor/actress's voice may be, the fact that they are filming a foreign drama means they need to dub it. The Chinese, especially, like to dub ALL their dramas, so even the mainland people who speak completely fluent Chinese will be dubbed one way or another. That's how the industry likes to do it. You should probably read up on why they choose to do that first before you say "they're stupid enough to dub his voice." Just because a few hundred people don't like it doesn't mean they're going to keep his Korean-accented Chinese in. "Speaks good enough Chinese" doesn't cut it. I'm sure you wouldn't want to listen to thick, incomprehensible foreign accents from your main leads in American television shows either.
