I get what you mean, but it just don't fit with the narrative we saw from her. I think if we had more scenes with her and seeing her inner toughts then maybe I could've agreed with you. In a way she was ourselves inside the drama. Someone who gets and likes the FL for what she is and not for what she looks (the other friends is the counterpoint). Since she changed so much, it's a bit weird to see her scheming such things, especially when she knows that the ML won't change his mind anyway.

I mean, her mother isn't helping much either, is she? Every time this happens she just accepts her daugher is "ugly" and says she can change school like that would fix everything.

I find it weird too. Like, is this really THAT agressive? I know this isn't reallity and they would overrated stuff so we can watch it and feel for the FL, but it's bit too much. It's not like she's a bad person and bullies others because of her appearance. I don't get why someone would hate a person who is just mind her own business lmao.

I'm afraid the evil spirit going to the mayor is the plot device they will use to make season 2. As soon as everything is sorted out, in the last scene of the drama we will hear/see another person getting possessed, and hey look there's another season coming.

Are they really going the make a season 2 of this drama? Like, they manage to mess up a pretty nice setup, how are they going to make 16 more episodes? The leads are charismatic enough for one more season, but with this writing? I will finish this one, but season two will be a hard pass for me.

I hope so, there are already a lot of people trying to take the FL down and I don't think she needs another one, and Soo Jin was really caring and helpful when needed. Making her a bad person just because of her feelings is lame, especially her being someone so strong.
