omg i came here to browse something else to watch after catching up on chief of staff and waiting for new episodes…
Don't let someone else decide if you want to watch something or not. If this drama caught your attention at least give it a few episodes. It's impossible to know each person's background or beliefs, so you must check it out yourself. If you look at Chief of Staff's ratings on this site you would think it's an average show, but everyone here hates anything that's not Romance with kpop idols. If you like CoS at least give this an episode or two. I only watched the first episode of this drama so far and it's definitely slow paced compared to CoS and that's a good thing, since they're both airing at the same time. On Chief of Staff we were inserted into their world. Their positions were already set and everyone knew each other so it's really easy to have a fast paced show so everyone already has weakness that only the viwer doesn't know. The good thing about this is that the drama can have a fast face from the beggining, the bad thing about it is that if not done well, it could become a disaster where nothing makes sense. This drama does it differently. All main characters are in different positions and the following episodes will be focused on getting every piece together so shit can happen.
If you want to keep on watching Political Dramas, I highly recommend My Fellow Citizens! It's has a lot of comedy compared to CoS and other political dramas but there are a ton of plot twists too. The first 5 epidoes (30min) give you a nice introduction to the drama, so if you don't like it you can always drop it. It's another case of a not well-received drama on Mydramalist that's actually better than a lot of the crap people here enjoy (Sorry Angel's Last Mission:Love fans).
why they have to remake.... just come up with a new plot pls....but anyways its okay for first episode.
>just come up with a new plot pls
Here's one, it's pretty unique.
A poor girls falls in love with a rich man, but he can't recognize faces and has some sort of memory loss. They also know each other from when they were kids but it's only revealed at episode 13.

Same. I will wait for a few more episodes before dropping this if it's not good, but as far as the first episode is concerned, this is basically political propaganda. I just want to see people being jerks like in Chief of Staff.
Really happy for Ji Ho's mother to put her emotions and thoughts aside as soon as she saw her son smiling after all those years. Something a CERTAIN someone should do too.
I just hope that this forced marriage thing ends with tomorrow's episode. There are a lot of other problems this couple could've faced but the 'parents using their kids to make business' is the only thing the writer came up with.
At this stage I don't really think we're going the get an explanation on why the mother left. They should've told us that she died after being hit by the white truck of death.
DESERVES HIGHER RATING T.T 8.4 DOESN'T DO IT JUSTICE
It's probably because it's not fast paced, but I'm just glad this is doing well in Korea and Netflix. For more things like this. I'm actually glad that I watched all major dramas so now I can decided what to watch without having to relay on other people's opinions. They gave Angel's Last Mission a 8.9 just because of the pilot and it's not even close to that. But hey, as long as OSN doesn't become a second Something in the Rain, I see this as an absolute win.
I disagree. The romance, I don't really get why they are paired up with each other.
Nah, I totally get what you're saying and after ep 04 I also thought that they used it as a plot device, but then again, the show is very fast paced. The Chief of Staff managed to get fucked at the end of last episode and now he's up there again. For them to bringing the "take down mrs. Kang right in the beginning of the first season makes me believe that it will be solved quickly too. And to be fair it's not the first they have to fuck with one another to get what they want, and they both understand the rules.
If it was any other show she would've ended everything with him the moment Mr. Oh entered the room. I really like they've managed to keep the drama interesting up until now but I'm worried since a lot of things start and end very quickly. But on the other hand I'm totally ok with a "this is not a romance story, people" vibe if they wanna go that way. On the same note, the intern will probably fuck up big time anytime soon.
It's not silly, it's the writing style of the show: they need cool scenes and cliff', not coherence.
Of course it's silly when you have the actor go way out of character just to get caught. If only they had shown him tired or something to justify him being dumb. Hell, in the beginning of the episode it shows him concerd about Mr. Oh sitting on his chair and trying to open the locked drawer. Would you keep the USB drive there? lmao.
