I can say that the final battle scene in this drama between the Demon and Heaven Realms are extremely satisfying because I have watched other xianxia dramas and the battle scenes are halted even before they will start ugh (disappointment to the highest level).
I specifically loved the scene when Xu Feng went all out and his Phoenix form cry was heard and appeared in BLUE VIOLET FORM (Bluish violet is the hottest flame of all). And he is doing that what do you call that hand movements.
Also, I don't know what to react when I read the comments in Douban that the good thing is that Xu Feng has avenged himself by killing Jin Mi as she also killed him so they are even.
Wait, so the romance will start at 14 years old or will they mature? I can accept up to 18 years old but I'm hesitant when a 14 year old is having a romance 🤣

The characteristics of the main leads are so complex that's why the discussion is still ongoing even though it is like 3 years since it aired. This is the reason why they don't want any Season 2 because it may ruin the complexity. Haha, like this we all have different views about this etc. but getting season 2 will ruin it. The filial piety part was widely discussed in Douban where Chinese people reside, they provided points and analysis etc. that can justify that part. I don't really wanna dive to the filial piety part as I'm not a Chinese as I don't know the deep root of their culture etc as it's obvious they have also different views about this (some may agree, some may not, in short mixed reviews).

It is discussed on Douban that the heavenly emperor knows Xu Feng did not kill the Water Immortal and Wind Immortal because the evidences are pointing at him very directly as discussed by him and Run Yu and I also think this is really what happened but Run Yu chose to reason for Xu Feng because that's what the heavenly emperor wants to hear that Xu Feng is not the murderer. And the jealousy of Run Yu intensified when the heavenly emperor save Xu Feng (by choosing to die to save XF)when the rebellion happened which proved to Run Yu that Xu Feng is really his most favored/ beloved son.
Also, the characteristics of Run Yu was criticized on Douban when an analysis said that Run Yu literally forgot he was abused by his mother etc. (his past traumatic experience) but grew up with a scheming nature. He's not a kind and gentle boy as shown as in the very beginning he is scheming behind even before Jin Mi.
As for Xu Feng, filial piety is a part of the Chinese culture so I get it if international viewers may view him as "spoiled" etc as he is brought that way by his parents. Run Yu also envied Xu Feng even though he was exiled on the Heavenly Realm with no title/home to shelter himself to for he can gather loyal people around him even without asking/forcing them. An example is Jin Mi, the Heavenly soldiers and general, Demon King, Demon Princess, Muci, the Elderly and Demon Soldiers.
Run Yu knew in the very beginning that Jin Mi don't even like him nor love him AND HE LITERALLY KNOW JIN MI LIKES XU FENG (VICE VERSA) but chose to use her for his schemes because of his jealousy to Xu Feng but got CREEPILY OBSESSED to her in the process. He saw her as a weapon and weakness for Xu Feng which was proven when Xu Feng was killed. Run Yu manipulated Jin mi in to agreeing to accept the marriage contract which is a next level manipulation.
The entire heaven realm was also extremely shocked when she killed Xu Feng as said by Yan You "Everyone knows she likes that bird." And also when the manipulation was revealed in the latter episodes, you can really say that Run Yu is strongly obsessed to Jin Mi as Jin Mi is the weakness of Xu Feng and taking possession of her means he "won".

There is a possibility that Deng Lun and Yang Zi were used for hype and noise for this drama tbh that's why the "news" of them being casted here are just for marketing. It is said that it is difficult to cast them again as they are both A-listers now. Some are looking forward that this can surpass the hit drama Ashes of Love but no drama can replace AOL for me.

The leads of this drama was revealed earlier this day and sadly no Deng Lun on sight ðŸ˜, he's busy now and will be filming the modern part of his drama on October 1. So sad he's not part of this, I always love the way he looks at his FL on all of his dramas because he looks so much in love with them (excellent acting).
Don't worry, the ML did not love her even a little bit romantically, like the SML. She's unlikeable but that one good thing she did made me hate her less.
There is an annoying woman in here who loves the ML but I give credit to her tbh to a GOOD THING (THE VIEWERS RELIED TO HER IN THE LATTER PARTS OF THIS DRAMA AND CHEERING FOR WHAT SHE DONE) for the ML.
The misunderstanding part in the tags is between them both (ML and FL) then SML goes scheming and takes advantage. But take note this is not just a mere misunderstanding like some other dramas haha. The culprit to this misunderstanding is the Yun Elixir. The love triangle is nonexistent tbh, the SML just like to insert himself in the FL and ML's narrative. The FL did not love him even a little bit romantically.
I mean to ask, when will it be clear that the Triangle is solved, atleast in between the couples own hearts
