Tencent and iQIYI have well known platform signed artists so that's why you see them often getting the approval. Some artists also have to agree to co-lead (equal billing) to get the project started. For Youku, they are just starting to promote their own signed ones. For them, this is cost-effective, they will pay salary to the famous one and since the other is their platform signed artist, the artist fee is very affordable. This is the strategy. Their entertainment industry is on a deep freeze. Many artists are left with no jobs because only few now can get started compared from the past.
