They’re better off as friends
First of all, I haven’t finished watching the Korean version. I found that one a little too slow and boring and stopped in the part where the condominium was locked down. However, this version is more fast-paced and I think they elevated the “gore” part compared to the Korean version.
On the other hand, the romance is nonexistent here if they didn’t kiss in one of the episodes. There’s no chemistry for me. I think it would have been better if they were presented as friends lol. I think the biggest factor why this happened was because of Saint and that his filmography mostly revolved around BL. I’n not saying that he should just stick to making BLs but I think people were just used to seeing him with the same-sex. I watched this objectively and did not see Saint as a BL actor but there was just no chemistry between him and the female lead.
Now, the actress was good but could’ve been better. There’s just something unnatural and rehearsed with the way she acted throughout the series.
