i agree with you on the age gap in TMTES. it bothered me a lot. the pairing was just so wrong. but i guess it's really more about individual chemistry and screen presence? because in 49 days when lee yo won and jung il woo were paired up, it looked acceptable enough. and she's already in her 30's while jung il woo is 25.
Is it really as good as people say it is? Cause this one is one of the dramas I haven't yet watched. Does any…
the first 5 episodes were absolutely amazing and just lovely and funny. i'm sure you will love the kid and teen actors too. after the adults came in, the story and characters became flat (only because i was expecting more complexity and depth as the characters matured). but if you're mainly after romance and a lot less politics, you'll probably love this. many people died but the OTP got their happy ending.
49 Days and the "what could have been" between ji hyun and kang</3 i really felt pity for kang but i guess he was still able to accept the fact that they could never be together. the good thing though was that fate gave them a chance to acknowledge each other's feelings and reciprocate although at least a kiss would be ok too haha. it could've been a lot worse if she suddenly died after marrying min ho. kang would never be able to move on from having failed to let her know that he was deeply in love with her.
I loved 1 Litre of Tears and the relationship between Aya and Haruto but I wouldn't want to change the ending because it would completely deviate from the original story. Haven't seen the other dramas. In BOF I couldn't care less. I hated the actress. The lovely ending of HYD was more than enough.
Even if there are some People who didn´t like it: I accept it, it´s their own opinion. But I really think, that…
If you like dramas filled with action, romance (guy's in love with girl whose dad killed his parents), and revenge, try watching Time Between Dog and Wolf. IMO it's much better even though the drama's kind of old. And it's darker too. The second lead in this drama btw is the current lead actor of Cruel City which is, like, the no.1 drama right now in MDL if that helps. IRIS had a very tragic ending.
people who strictly judge every thing about drama , story , characters & all that stuff . seriously why are…
I watch for the story itself or to be more specific, the writers behind a particular drama REGARDLESS of who's in it.I'm particularly fond of writer So Hyun Kyung.I've seen a few of her works and the plot is pretty consistent and solid.I've also grown to love Jo Jung-joo 'cause of how she wrote The Princess Man.I love her multifaceted villains, the way she handled political intrigues, character development, etc.(I could go on and on).TBH Hana Yori Dango is the only 1 of 2 dramas I love mainly because of the actors. Also, the compliment "good" is subjective. There are many dramas that are awesome for some but which don't really impress me 'cause either the plot is messy or the characters are wasted/underdeveloped.Ratings/Popularity are unreliable because they don't always guarantee quality.

You're a sega fan? LOL oops sorry XD Oh I can definitely relate! BOF was terrible. Goo Hye Sun was terrible. Zero chemistry with LMH. The F4 had their moments sure but the bromance among the Japanese F4 felt more genuine. I'm pretty fastidious when it comes to how the plot is written but for some weird reason,I ended up loving HYD so much that I got hooked for more than a year. I mean, the storyline was practically a soap opera and it had the silliest twists. I blame it all on the amazing chemistry between Inoue Mao and Matsujun. It seemed like their characters were really destined for each other, unlike their BOF counterparts (loved their wedding in the movie btw). Yup, I agree. Meteor Garden was even better than BOF.
If you're referring to BOF, I'm gonna be honest and say LMH wasn't really the problem for me. Goo Hye Sun was. Never warmed up to her. Yup. Matsujun is an AMAZING actor. He's just so hilarious and talented. Maybe we should give LMH a chance to improve? He just needs to pick challenging roles to hone his acting. BUT I don't think it's gonna be happening soon since his next drama is as shallow as it's gonna get. The writer of Secret Garden penned it and her dramas don't really have much substance *shrug*
I'm going to watch this because i love how this writer writes her dramas. She wrote 49 Days well and her other dramas (My Daughter Seo Young, Shining Inheritance) did great in the ratings so I can definitely trust that this drama will have a solid plot. Also, I liked Lee Jun Ki ever since I saw him in Time Between Dog and Wolf.
Is this going to be the funnier, toned-down Korean version of Gossip Girl? Cuz if it's going to be as *racy* as that show, it would blow my mind and I'm going to run for the hills. LOL. Anyway, since the writer is the woman who wrote Secret Garden and A Gentleman's Dignity, I'll check this one out. Granted both are not my favorite dramas but I'm looking forward to the witty and fast-flying banter expected from writer Kim Eun Sook.
I loved the genuineness and purity of their relationship.

Hi amrita! Thanks :) Haha yes I'm not really a fan of Lee Min Ho. I think he's overrated as a celebrity. I guess you can blame it on Matsumoto Jun. I discovered him when I watched HYD and BOF at the same time. Because Matsujun's acting was way better than his, the latter got kinda overshadowed and eventually kicked to the curb. Heh. I do think he's a decent actor though.
i totally heart shi min ah and lee seung gi!
