Feels like a Step down for Go Youn Jung after Can this Love be Translated. I still haven't moved on from Go Youn…
It's actually a rather amazing choice for her. This drama will show the audiences even more depth to her acting - a very different character from stuff like Can This Love Be Translated or even Resident Playbook.
did you skip the scenes prior to that or something
Yeah, clearly complexed. You having the need to tell me you're watching 4 dramas that have 1 hour episodes just shows you're brutally complexed. And how can I be sure you don't just skip half the episode on those ones too lmao. I bet you've skipped half of all the kdramas you've seen. Must be one of those kids that scroll tiktok 24/7 and have insane brainrot and absolutely no attention span. I'm also sure this is not the first drama you've skipped... It's not the slowest nor the most boring drama ever made for sure, and I'm sure you've watched stuff that's a bit slower paced (and definitely skipped 'em too)
But sure buddy, whatever makes you happy. I feel like you're wanting to feel like you're the main character or something, by swearing the entire chat and seemingly thinking you're the one and only, so sure, whatever makes you happy. Be my guest to keep watching, keep skipping and keep being a bit... less than average 'bright', mr Nam Joo Mine.
But lemme just teach you one small life lesson (giving you the education you lack): if you see one "nutcase", sure, that guy was probably a nutcase. If you see two nutcases then yeah, maybe, by coincidence, you've seen two nutcases. But if EVERYONE around you is a nutcase... then maybe the nutcase is actually... you.
did you skip the scenes prior to that or something
Gosh, from these texts it's so clear you're complexed it's actually baffling. Look at your reaction from a 1 line answer to your (not so bright) initial question. I mean, really, if you don't have the attention span to watch the drama - and don't hit me with the "this drama is boring" - if you skip through scenes in this drama, I'm 100% sure you do the same in others. This just shows how cooked people are nowadays. Can't even sit and watch an 1 hour episode anymore.
As other people said, if you find it boring, just drop it. If you just want to see your favorite boy's acting, then just watch those scenes and don't come posing questions that were literally explicitly answered in the episode... Why do you even bother about the plot if you just care about the guy you're fanboying over?
I'm not familiar with director's other work I didn't watch anything of his dramas but I feel like he was trying…
Director used 1 fully English song (Dont Step on My Heart) for basically 1 scene (episode 1, under the cherry blossoms - it also plays in background in episode 11 but it's almost unnoticeable) and the director is suddenly copying Ahn Pan Seok's style... Definitely an interesting take.
I mean what question even is this? Did you watch until ep5 and plan to watch just the last 2? What sense would that have? You either watch it all, or drop it on episode 5...
I can't appreciate my opinion about this stupid K-drama trope more, because from the start I said they would break…
Jeez, I actually appreciate how you've managed to - while apparently hating this kdrama - comment on this thread whenever a new episode comes out. It takes a looot of effort to be such a hater lol.
For those of you that didn't understand the reason of the breakup, here's my understanding of it (some examples of people not understanding): "looked left and right the entire episode cause i thought something reasonable made them break up, but they did all that just for an article??" or "i am so confused, why did they breakup again?"
We obviously saw that our FL and her company were struggling because of these new news. Suddenly, everyone is saying she had committed adultery while she was married to her ex-husband, and that she forced the divorce to be together with this new guy. So, Gyeong-do thought: if we just deny it and say "Hey, we actually only started dating like 1 month after the divorce!! All of that is fake!!" it wouldn't really work... The timing didn't help their case, it was indeed quite shortly after the divorce and people just would not believe that this couple started coincidentally dating just after her divorce - even though we know that's true, as we know they met for the first time in the present timeline only after the article and etc (ep1 stuff). "Even if we report it hundreds of time that it's not true, it changes nothing. People believe what they want to believe. There will be articles all over the place for views. They'll reuse that video and that article to make other articles. By then, even the people involved are confused about what's true." - words from the ML when talking to his superior from the office, which just show that saying "oh well we just started dating recently" wouldn't work.
So, what was his solution? Well, they had already stated they were friends from college in that photo+article from episode2. Gyeong-do's idea was to write a new one, saying they indeed went a long way, and that they kept meeting because he felt this debt to Ji Woo's father. That the reason they kept meeting was not love, not a relationship, but something related to how our FL's father helped our ML when he most needed... The article actually said that they WERE NOT a couple in present time, not before the divorce nor after - even though they were a couple and were in love. In the article there's a supposed quote from Gyeong-do saying: "Helping director Seo Ji Woo is what I must do", so basically he's trying to say that they weren't in love but actually it was a relationship of debt and 'taking care of' or 'helping', the same way her father did to his.
That's why the internim girl from his office kept saying "Damn, my first article is one full of lies", and that's why the superior said "This article means a breakup, Gyeong-do" (before it was published).
Obviously, if that is what the article said, they just couldn't be together after it was published - what if people found them together, dating? Then it would prove the whole article was fake.
Anyways, this was what I gathered after rewatching this episode (which I believe is fantastic). I'm really sad to see all the hate on this drama, because I really, really love it. And what makes me even sadder is people hating for the wrong reasons.
btw I wrote this before episode 12 came out... let's see what happens!
i agree with you . i was getting tired of all the flashbacks but i think there are necessary too . so while was…
I guess that does make sense. Maybe you dislike the flashbacks cuz you know how they'll end up in the present, as a couple?
I'm honestly a big fan of flashback storytelling and believe it's been doing great for the drama, from these 4 episodes. I really enjoy those moments, and the beautiful cinematography helps a lot too :)

I really don't get it tho. Why do you guys reckon they're too much? It looks majestical to me, and of course, they build the story.
Sure, the present is also very interesting - and obviously the main story - but I'm still adoring the flashbacks. It seems I'm in the minority for some reason though
Update after episode 4:I am really liking this drama now. I didn't like it in the first 2 episodes but now that…
Why are the flashbacks are "a little annoying"? They look fantastic to me. The whole vibe with the blurry filter and the beautiful cinematography they hold in EVERY-SINGLE-SCENE is honestly amazing.
I really can't understand the negative thoughts on this drama as of now. In my humble opinion, it's one of the best of the year basing ourselves in these 4 episodes - and to be fair, I'm more scared of the ex-husband + the stealing of the company plotline than the rest.
