Stil haven't moved on from this drama haha. My weekends are going to be empty now. xD
To be very honest, this drama could have been a lootttt better. The premise was nice and the first 2 episodes opened with a bang. Considering this drama was written by the writers of one of my favorite dramas (The Guest) I had very high expectations.
I would have liked it if they had focused more on the past story, the origin of the Bulgasal and those monsters, but they didn't. A lot of this drama was filled with the ML and FL talking about topics they already had spoken about. It didn't feel like those converstation served much purpose. Meanwhile the parts about the monsters and the past were truly interesting. I loved their lovestory of the past as well.
I also feel like a lot of things are left unexplained.
They did really well on creating an in depth villain. It feels like they put all their writing-effort in his character and Lee Joon's acting made it even better. Not that the other members of the cast didn't do well. They were amazing, but their characters felt so flat compared to the villain that no amount of good acting could make them seem better.
Another thing that was nice was the 'Found Family' trope they added to this. It was wholesome. Because of this I had a different ending in mind than what was served. The ending was a bit Meh to me.
However, I personally was very invested in this drama! I think I haven't been this emotionally invested in an ongoing K-Drama for a long time Every Saturday and Sunday I was waiting for the moment it would be released with the subs. I loved the vibes this drama gave me. I have no other way of explaining it hahah. I was just in love despite its faults. So because of my personal enjoyment I rated this drama very generously high <3
P.s. What was Human Sang Un's deal with her 'Mama I'm in love with a criminal' mindset? xD (Okay, not exactly criminal, but you know, a man who litterly wants to kill you) I understand that Bulgasal Sang Un loved him in the past, but really what was the deal with Human Sang Un?
Not that I have anything against Hwal x Human Sang Un in the present times, but have a hard time understanding how she fell for him during the time he still was mean and trying to kill her. He looks very hot though, but that still shouldn't make her fall in love with someone like that right?
well we do see in the trailer that he is cheating too + is abusive toward the FLbut yeah i always hate in these…
When your looking from the outside in the solution is easy, but when your facing the problem, your afraid, not talking the type of scared that makes your heart lurch for a second, its the scare that make you feel like your 1. going to die or 2. it would be easier to just kill yourself. Think of it like that
NOT A CSAT QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!
