Does anyone know a variety show similar to this? Please give the title or link.
Young Actors' Retreat or GBRB: Reap What You Sow, maybe? Or any of the "In the Soop" shows with BTS, Seventeen, or Wooga Squad? They have a similar vibe.
Why do kdramas treat suicide and suicidal thoughts like a crime?
I think Koreans think of it as immoral behaviour rather than a mental health issue and those thinking of suicide or having died by suicide as weak and have failed morally. I also think that is why when an actor or an idol dies in this way it's so quickly moved on from and no mention of mental health help are ever offered for those who might be grieving someone's death. It's sad.
My problem is not a sad ending, my problem is when they torment us with the tragedy over an entire episode and…
I appreciate this viewpoint and I think I agree with you. When I think about this series and how much I bawled when it watched it for the first time, it wasn't because of Xi Gu's death it was watching Hao Ting's grief. That was incredibly hard to watch and so very sad.
I feel like it is realistic for how "new love" or two people very attracted to each other would behave. It is believable at least, in my opinion.
