Gave this drama a chance because I really liked Im Siwan's acting in Strangers in Hell and Misaeng, and even though I rarely watch romance, I like it so far. I hope it will be consistently good.
I'm so freaking happy and proud of Jo Byung Kyoo leading this drama! 6 episodes in and he's nailing his character especially the emotional parts.
Also, I was skeptical of Se Jeong at first because I only saw her in Busted where she was so fluffy and cute but man, she's nailing her role here too! Can't wait for the next episodes!
Our trio of friends are so wholesome!! Got me ugly crying with them the scene where they got emotional watching So Mon walk. Loved episode 3. But that end tho grrrr
I mean, Nam Gong Min is great as usual but I feel irky with the slow reation of the characters to the 3 deaths.
1st is the high school kid, like it was already a warning sign that they knew he was afraid of heights but the other kids still continue to sit and look at him as he weirdly went to the edge, SLOWLY raised his arms (which really signifies that he will jump), and jumped? And they just sat there and watched??
2nd, the pool victim. They got a tip that it was 11 pm that a death will occur so wasn't it already weird to see someone swim and then suddenly stopped and float face down? (and idk with police training but I thought they could've easily spot a weirdly floating deadlike body and also coinciding with the time that they were tipped off?)
3rd, the train victim.
But I'm still curious to where this story will go and it was still a good episode despite my meh reaction to the 3 deaths.
After the first 2 episodes, I'm really happy for Jo Byung Kyoo to be the main lead of this drama. He's nailing it especially with the emotional aspects. I really liked him in Hot Stove League so I'm glad I get to watch him here. This is off to a great start but I really hope this won't be similar to a lot of K-dramas this 2020 were the first few episodes were great and then it goes downhill.
Also, I can't stop seeing the main lead in The Good Detective like having a similar face with Byung Kyoo here lol.
I lost count on how many times that I replayed the part where Kurosawa saw Tsuge and Adachi close to each other with the "EHH??" battle between Adachi and Kurosawa and then ending it with Adachi screaming "This! This! This is not what you think it is!!" HAHAHAHA
Although the action scenes at the start was a bit meh for me, I immediately liked our trio of friends (So Mon, Ungmin, and Joo Yeon). Admittedly, I cried during the part where Ungmin was more scared of So Mon being beaten up than himself being beaten. I find myself not connecting well yet with the noodle shop emplyees/counters but it's still the first episode so there' still room for a growth of my fondness over them lol.
I mean, the episode's only 25 minutes but I need almost 2 hours every time I watch a new one because I rewind multiple times in almost every scene. HAHA
I always wait until the end if I watch it completely. But if I drop a drama, I tend to rate it at the episode…
Same! I either rate it completed or dropped too. But every after episode, I mentally take notes on how I rate the series until that episode for references. So far, CM is a 9.5 for me :D
No I have given my 10/10 already. I never do this but Cherry Magic is an exception. I gave that 10/10 when episode…
Yeah, I was almost tempted though to break my own rules of not rating a drama before I complete it for Cherry Magic. So, I understand very much that you would give it 10/10 @ EP 3 XD
I am genuinely happy to see this drama from having like 200 ratings and now it has 1,200+ ratings!! I'm curious though like who else , like me, are waiting for the drama to end before giving it a rating? I usually wait for a series to end before giving it my score hahaha.
