It maybe the "hairstyle", some people are petty like that & well, it happens with most Jdramas so don't worry…
"Jdramas lovers consider 8 like a 10" This is so true! I found a lot of amazing and like thought-provoking shows that were rated like a 7 or 8 here that in my opinion deserves higher haha. Maybe a lot doesn't like the cinematography of J-dramas? But I don't mind as long as the stories are great,
Adachi almost shouting at Kurosawa thet he was fine was so realistic. Like of course he was uncomfortable/irritated because he was feeling jealous and having thoughts about Kurosawa and the supposed ex-gf together. And he was also feeling sick: that would also make you easily messed up in your emotions haha. A step towards realizing his feelings for Kurosawa! I really like this show because even if it's a fantasy/comedic at times, there's realness and rawness in the actions of the characters especially Adachi.
Weirdly, I preferred this than the Korean one lol. I managed to finish this series compared to dropping the Korean one on the 9th or 10th episode. The minimal romance here was better in chemistry for me than the Korean one. Just my personal opinion tho. But I preferred Kai sensei on the korean one tho. And also i liked the lady senior partner on the korean too while I dislike her here in the JP one.
Like wth they killed my two favorite characters! lol
When I was like "Hmm, the chemistry is great between Micchi and Nana! I really like Nana now." and then boom she dies at the end of the episode. And when I started to fall in love with the badass Minami, boom of course she dies.
But overall this was a really great show! Love the end when Midori took revenge for everyone. She was my third favorite girl out of the five.
Ep 4 got my heart and focus all throughout because they really handled the supposed "love triangle" so freakin' well! I really love that romance is like the main genre here but I also applaud the storyline that focuses on Adachi reading the minds of his colleagues and helping them. Episode 3 and 4 made him more aware of the inner thoughts of his colleagues and he finds courage to help them on his own little ways. So wholesome our boy, Adachi!
Also, can't help but empathize with the inner thoughts of Adachi when comparing himself to the perfect Kurosawa huhu so raw and real.
I see Dark being referenced a lot here. What failed here in Alice? Was it the intricate time related stuff that…
personally, it was both didn't explained properly and too many pointless scenes and more reasons hehe. I mean, darK was confusing at first but as the show progresses, it is explained well and it pulled me in with so many shock and twists that were properly executed. Alice on the otherhand, had a great start which pumped me up but it went downhill with the unnecessary scenes and it's take on time travel. but this is all my opinion tho or maybe I'm just biased because darK is one of my favorite of all time!! haha. I suggest for you to check it out if you want to :)
And btw this drama seems like it tried to replicate DarK (an amazing german show in netflix with 3 superb seasons)…
Spoilers for DarK*
and even if DarK had incest in it (well incest in a sense that they weren't aware that they were related LOL), it was still infinitely times better than Alice HAHA
And btw this drama seems like it tried to replicate DarK (an amazing german show in netflix with 3 superb seasons) yet this failed miserably. DarK in my opinion is a masterpiece while this drama...i just can't lol forgive me for my negative comment but I just am really and exteremely disappointed with Alice tbh
It's really a breath of fresh air to have a character like Kurosawa who really respects boundaries and even if he has feelings for Daichi, he does not aggressively push it towards Daichi. And I really really love Daichi pushing himself despite his hesitations due to his virginity and inexperience. I'm like a proud papa smiling whenever Daichi takes a step of confidence and voices out his feelings!
And can I just give kudos to both actors because I keep on rewatching their scenes and their subtle expressions/movements and I love it so much. I can't help but recognize and feel what they are feeling even when no words are spoken!!
Gahh I hope this series will be great from start to end!! I'm scared because I watched a lot of recent dramas that were great in the start, got draggy/annoying in the middle and crashes + burn during the last episodes. I love the positive comments here as well! Got high hopes for this J-drama! :D
Caught up until episode 6 and I must say that the OST is everything here! The Queen songs really make it more emotional and profounding. I hope the last 2 episodes will be subbed soon!
I can't help but feel that the gifted graduation is not living up to my expectations after an amazing season 1 :( but this is purely just my opinion tho. I hope to see the Gifted XV being great together again in the future episodes.
I started watching this for Hyungsik but as mush as I like his acting, his character is annoying me. Gina makes me skip her scenes as well idk. The only thing that makes me continue watching is the best girl DA HAM and her dynamics with Kang Seok hehe.
Wait, I have a question. I've checked the Top Airing Shows in the Japan section on the main page of MDL and while this drama has way higher ratings and number of watchers on the top 5 list, this drama is not listed there? Haha I'm kind of confused.
