Is this show worth watching? Lots of warm and moving scenes? Any romance? Good looking guys? Thanks for any info.

I am at episode 4: The show does have a good storyline. But there are areas they can improve to make the drama more accessible: first, they should choose actors ten years younger. The eldest brother is 47 and the second brother is 42, that's too old. It would be good if the older brother is 37 and the second sibling 32. That way, the second's brother's silly behaviour can be more believable. 42 and a gigolo is quite revolting. Except for the youngest brother, they need actors that are easier on the eyes. The second brother's looks are a no-no and to be a gigolo on top of that is revolting.
Second, they need to turn down the nagginess of the eldest brother's wife. Man, that lady can nag and she gives me a headache every time she appears on the screen. Yes, this may be realistic but her intensity is too much.

Watching this right now, episode 2. For those who have watched it or more into the series, is it good? With the Japanese coming, are there many cruel scenes? Any good romantic scenes?

QiQi is the youngest kid in the Qiao Family. When he was born, his mother died as well. After which, the useless dad gave his sister-in-law (the aunty) to raise QiqI. So, QiQi grew up in the aunty's home and not the Qiao family.

I saw one episode of Min Ning Town and couldn't get into it. It looks more like a political drama than family... am I wrong? Also, call me superficial, but I didn't see any eye-candy.... am I wrong too?

I think the first time they mentioned it was when QiQi was a baby and the dad wanted to give the aunty QiQi. She initially said she can't take another child because she already had three.

I love Yiding. He's the most romantic of them all -- the sudden kiss in the rain; the walks home; movie night; repairing furniture for the family, yes, and the boyish good looks!!! :)

Yes, please offer suggestions as to what to watch. I am lost; many new dramas pale in comparison to the Bond. It's hard to find something to watch after you are so attached to a drama.
