For me, it was Nobuta wo Produce OR Hana Kimi (both J-Dramas) roughly around 2010 (?). The first show which introduced me to K-Dramas was Boku to Star no 99 Nichi. Kim Tae-Hees funny accent in japanse made me curious about the korean language, and here I am. ;)
Question: In ep14 Moon Ga-Young is involved in a fight. In one scene, she performes a spinning high-kick. Does anybody know if she did that herself, or if they used a stunt-double for it or is it an edit?
the webtoon is kinda different from the series. in the webtoon JK stayed first with SJ and then she ended staying…
no, that would've been messy from the story arc. In contrary to many other shows, the 16 eps used here, are pretty much filled to the brim with essential story parts to give the story and characters more depths. Imagine: If IJK dates HSJ, they would have needed some eps to convince the audience that HSJ is good. Then, they would've also needed a valid breakup reason, some dating-pause and then they would have needed reasons why SH was the real deal. In 16 eps? Never. Not with the depths the characters got in this version.
i liked true beauty as well, but let's keep it civil. mdl ratings reflect the collective rating of thousands of…
lovely runner is 4 years newer, with more people using mdl and more or less more hype built up. also, the netflix distribution system is working better for newer shows
Why is such an average series getting a season 2?! Netflix should stop throwing money over these average scripts.
because the plot offers a season 2, while most of the other series are dragged out to 16 episodes and feel empty 50% of it? Why should Netflix not release a 2nd season? Tbh: I would do exactly the same.
no, she deserves the sentence, but no vigilante justice. We/I (and South Koreans as well) live in a civilized world and I despise it that it’s depicted in a different way. it promotes the arbitrary law which goes against every human right.
sometimes, I really despise the korean TV culture. It's one thing to show violence in a cool way on the screen, but it's another thing if it's against defenseless people. (example: ep16, when Mo Seul Hee is in prison)
After rewatching it, I've come to the conclusion that they didn't really have a set plan themselves. I believe…
I understood the show slightly different: FL looked for an opportunity and used ML Ofc she liked him, but ML was in her friendzone. ML liked her from the beginning and got out of the friendzone (imho)
I loved it. Really good show.3 critiques: (see spoiler)
1. The cliffhanger from ep6->7 was really bad: Why tease a major incident with Yoon Sae-Boom when nothing happens? 2. Some scenes could have been done better. For example the one where Jung Yi-Hyun doesn't go home directly after his hand injury and Sae-Boom scolds him. I really expected the camera to show Park Seo Yoon and Kim Jeong Gook rolling their eyes because of them being "lovy dovy". Missed chance. ;) 3 Why is Jung Yi-Hyun alive, and how did he survive? --> Noone knows
I still have to watch Stairway to Heavon though.
Farewell Yoo Na, Chang Man and all the other lovely characters!
Now, what do I do with my life again ...? ;)
