Omg for me it's been since 2019 lmao What has LR done to us? 😭
On Queen of Tears Apr 29, 2024
This drama had its ups and downs but to be honest I enjoyed it so much, even more than I expected, especially the last episode which wrapped things up so beautifully. It depicted a love greater than life from beginning to end, with a delightful cast of side characters. Thank you QOT!
On Wedding Impossible Apr 3, 2024
This show committed the biggest sin a rom com can make: have an OTP whose love is entirely unbelievable and perplexing. Maybe the writer ran out of time around episode 6 (when it was midway through and still running around in circles), but the main couple date for a day and suddenly their love is Bigger Than Life. No chemistry, no interesting side characters, average acting, generic antagonists, character arcs either made no sense or fell flat. I'm willing to excuse a lot in exchange for a cute romance and I'm a big fan of the genre but this was not it. Very disappointed.
On Captivating the King Mar 4, 2024
The only reason I gave this one a 5 is because of JJS and his beautiful performance, otherwise it would have a rating of a 0. While the acting from other cast members was irregular, the biggest culprit was the writing. It just didn't have enough meat for 16 episodes. What a huge disappointment.

Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
I loved it. At first I thought that a classic sageuk tragic ending would be very fitting, and maybe it would've been, but after these 2 kids went through so much I was relieved they found each other and hopefully could live the quiet and happy life they wished for. Overall an amazing and addictive watch. I kept seeing terrible comments about this second part so I started it with some fear, but I enjoyed it as much as part 1. I will miss you, Show!

Title My Demon
It makes me a bit upset that Kim Yoo Jung keeps working on extremely subpar to downright terrible dramas in her career as adult, wasting her talent in the process to the point where I'm starting to doubt any remnants of that talent still remains. I hope she can pick something better in the future and prove me wrong because I like her and I can see some of her chops shine through in bits and pieces when her roles demand a serious scene or two. It's just been years of awful/forgettable dramas, and this one is no exception. Eveyone on forums and social media talk about how bad of an actor Song Kang is but in this show I see them as equals acting wise, make of that as you will.

Title Our Blues
Marathoned eps 1 to 4 and honestly I'm in love, I didn't know what to expect since I read so many mixed reviews on tw and here but NHK has worked her magic again. I'm head over heels for this drama, I hope it only gets better and better as the episodes air and we get to know more about these characters (and others we still haven't seen much)

It's a bit confusing how low quality this drama is.

Title The King's Affection Spoiler
There is no happy ending for the main couple in manhwa :( FL is forced to drink poison and die :(
No problem! In fact I was vague about what happens after the whole poison scene because tbh I didn't understand if she d*es or not during their escape (since I only read this one volume of the manhwa I might be missing context or mistaking the drawing style 😅). They have an altercation and a sword fight takes place...

I just read the final volume of the manhwa and she doesn't drink the poison? the grandfather throws it away and tells hwi and jeong misoo (jiun in the drama) to run. they do encounter difficulties after they leave though. you can check it in manhuascan dot com

In your dreams he is bisexual... lol.
i can only laugh! hahaha you know adding "Fact" at the end of complete nonsense only makes your whole comment even funnier, right. anyways, have a nice day/night.

In your dreams he is bisexual... lol.
??? the nature of a relationship is determined by the people involved lol this is the same as in coffee prince, and gong yoo's iconic "i like you. if you are a man or an alien, i dont care". that's a declaration of not only feelings but also opening up to and accepting the reality of not being heterosexual. who are you to negate things that are clearly established in the script and portrayed by the actors themselves. you seem very determined to deny what's happening on screen, it's a bit funny. or maybe you hold onto your incorrect reading of the show to placate your inner fury at the male lead being bi/pan. you display a jarring ignorance in regards to sexual identity and orientation, which makes any attempt at having a conversation a bit difficult as well.

In your dreams he is bisexual... lol.
"Dam-i and CP are female right? So where is the bisexual?" he literally doesn't know CP is a woman though lol he is convinced the CP is a man (why would he assume otherwise?). The fact that now he knows and technically he's been in love with women only, doesn't negate the fact that he was open and eager to pursue a relationship with a man, regardless of how escandalous and sinful it would've been considered in the era (and with a king-to-be too! he'd probably face death).
On Dali & Cocky Prince Nov 5, 2021
kim min jae is so delightful to the point where i cant even imagine any other actor playing moohak with so much natural charm. he makes an otherwise ordinary show shine together with park gyu young, a pairing filled with unexpected amazing chemistry. a rare case of a drama that becomes better as it progresses in its story. cant wait for finale week, please dont disappoint us!

i don't even know what to say after wasting 16 hours of my life with this. i guess a big part was on me for being foolish enough to believe the first few eps had potential and sticking to it instead of dropping it. whatever though, the writer should be banned (?)

Honestly out of all the characters that are pretty hateable and annoying in this drama, no one has ticked my nerve…
Unpopular opinion but she had a point though lol To a person who relies on a monthly check, seeing your workplace crumble down to the point where you won't get your pay which you need to pay the bills, will cause a lot of distress that can translate into going off at the person responsible for it. A person who works is entitled to their pay, and has the right to complain if they aren't compensated (in fact she mentions she will quit because of this, before the other dude forces her to stay).

We are conditioned to support Dali and we know her circumstances but a regular worker only sees a mess of a girl who parades around in designer stuff while claiming to be struggling (also as a worker we aren't supposed to "understand" the boss/owner, they have to fulfill their duties and pay regardless). The show obviously will add details about her doing shady stuff to further make us feel bad for Dali and consider the other girl unfair/hateful but her reaction is only natural and even fair. The rest of the workers feel the same, they just don't say it.
On Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Sep 2, 2021
I generally enjoyed the first 2 episodes but it worries me that we once again have the overbloated tvn drama episodes where 1 hour 15 is way more than the show can handle or needs. By episode 8 we will be exhausted, unless the writer has some cool plot points to keep the interest going for the rest of the show.
