Title Blood Free
Is this going to be propaganda for the meat industry? With an "evil vegans" theme?

Where did you hear that? This article from four hours ago says the casting has been confirmed by the production…
Also: Ugh, that sucks. I really wanted to see them in this.

That article is of today. You claimed that it was a fact before it was in the news.

All three are just human. Humans have a right to being messy when feelings are concerned. I can understand the motivations and actions of each of them. Hyeri was hurt, Han Soo Hee felt under attack, Ryu Jun Yeol did not want to be dragged into a public mud battle over a non-issue.

Personally, I'm like Jun Yeol and would have stayed stumm as well. But that doesn't mean I can't understand what made the other two act the way they did. It's all kind of plausible.

Although I admit I gasped when HSH basically called RJY ugly. Like... GIRL!? I'm not sure she even meant it, people repeating that he wasn't good-looking must have gotten into her head and maybe she just worded her feelings badly?

What I want to say is, all three have done nothing wrong. This is their personal life.

The only party that is to be criticized for their role in all this is the public and the media.

I still hope "Delusion" gets made with this exact cast.

Seems like it's like that in most Kdramas. Do Koreans really drink that much? I'm surprised there seems to be…
I know. It seems to actually be a huge thing/problem. Anyway, this drama takes it to 11. It feels like one giant booze commercial.

They drink so much alcohol. It's like they use it as a solution for any situation. Finding that highly questionable.

There are some attacks here on South Korea's policy, enforcement, attitudes to drugs. I believe the criticism…
Here is an in-depth article on the situation in Oregon that looks beneath the surface: https://www.npr.org/2024/02/07/1229655142/oregon-pioneered-a-radical-drug-policy-now-its-reconsidering

TLDR: Factors like the introduction of Fentanyl on the drug market, the pandemic, increasing homelessness need to be considered. No drug policy is going to have the desired effect as long as people don't have social security.

The "news" outlet you are quoting:

"In July 2020, after Black Lives Matter protester Garrett Foster was fatally shot in Austin, Texas, The Post Millennial falsely claimed that Foster had fired shots at a civilian vehicle. In fact, Foster had not fired any shots before he was slain. The Post Millennial later issued a correction, but continued to blame Foster for the death; The Daily Dot described the episode as an example of how "disinformation circulated by fringe groups to support their preferred narrative—that Black Lives Matter protesters are violent and lawless—works its way into the conservative media ecosystem and up to the White House."[6] An analysis by Politico and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue on media in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election in the United States found that the most prominent figures claiming violence by Black Lives Matter and claiming fraudulent ballots, James O'Keefe and Turning Point USA, were posted by The Post Millennial.[7]"

"Many articles published by the website use aggregated content from other new sources, social media sites, and press releases with "inflammatory headlines"; the latter has been described as rage bait— for far-right accounts and pages on social media websites.[11]"

"The Post Millennial employed Cosmin Dzsurdzsa as among its first hires from late 2018; he wrote over 500 articles for the site. In August 2019, after the National Observer asked The Post Millennial about Dzsurdzsa's previous articles published in Russia Insider and his work for Free Bird Media, sites known for pro-Kremlin propaganda and white supremacist commentary, respectively, the publication parted ways with Dzsurdzsa.[24][11]"

Racist homophobic far-right provocateurs are not reputable sources.

From the Wikipedia entry on the Youtuber you linked to:

"Walsh opposes transgender rights and has campaigned in opposition to groups providing or encouraging transgender health care, particularly for minors.[9][10][11][12] In 2022, Walsh released Johnny the Walrus, a children's book in which he compared being transgender to pretending to be a walrus,[13] and What Is a Woman?, a documentary film about gender identity in the United States.[14] Walsh has campaigned against several hospitals, comparing the transgender healthcare they provide to child sexual abuse, genital mutilation, and rape.[15][16]"

"Walsh has argued that the trial of Kenosha unrest shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, who was acquitted, was malicious prosecution.[84] He has argued for banning pornography and supports restricting abortion.[85] Walsh has argued that ozone depletion and acid rain were never serious problems, in tweets that Ars Technica described as "willfully ignoring some very well-documented history".[86]

Regarding the casting of Halle Bailey in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid (2023), Walsh said on The Daily Wire, "from a scientific perspective, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have someone with darker skin who lives deep in the ocean," and suggested that the mermaid should be translucent instead. Walsh's commentary was mocked on CNN by digital senior entertainment writer Lisa France, who said "racism is real, unfortunately, and people get so offended".[87] Later, Walsh said that "Translucent rights are human rights".[88] He jokingly called anime "satanic" in an answer to viewers' questions in one of his videos, adding "I have no argument for why it's satanic. It just seems that way to me."[89][90] He has called multiculturalism a "failed experiment".[91][third-party source needed]. "

and because I like the actor Jo Jung Suk so much, I'm about to watch Flowers of Nokdu
The Nokdu Flower is a good one. Bit violent, but well written, well acted, compelling characters and story line.

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
I understand most of the criticism but I kind of enjoyed this one. I feel like SSK's reduced facial expression is actually the one thing that makes the disguise as a man somewhat believable at times. Male leads often have very little facial expressiveness and nobody complains about it because for some reason people allow men to be less expressive.

Anyway, the bias against SSK's acting can hardly be universal else she wouldn't get so many roles. Maybe Korean audiences like her acting more than Western ones?

The story, admittedly, is not overly complex and there are some plot holes and implausabilities. I'd consider this mostly a character study of the king trapped between doing what is right and the machinations and aspiration of the political factions. The romance is a side story to that.

The ending felt a bit off. They let FL take a position that suggested strong agency with little romantic desire and then just switched that around to FL glad to have been kept from following her own plan? Very weird.

Not sure if this needs a spoiler warning, but I'll put one just in case.

Title Death's Game Part 2 Spoiler
The only question I have now, will Ji soo die in Choi Yi Jae second chance of life? Because she was destined to…
Good point. Maybe the destiny changes because now we have an alternate timeline. Although usually it is assumed that destiny is above circumstantial variables.
