Yes! I wonder if he/she is having a case of internalized homophobia. He/she might be attracted to BL content but morally refuses to acknowledge it due to his/her religious belief. He/she likes it, yet hates him/herself for liking it, hence leading to this dichotomy where he/she has to seek external validation and all sort of mental gymnastics just to affirm themselves the drama is not "gay" in any way. Its an evidently destructive behavior. Only time will tell if he/she will ever come to terms with it. Sadly, some people never will.

At the end of the day, deep in your heart you know that this is a BL drama. Though no one can stop you from willfully lying to yourself pretending it is not. Call it what you want but I am afraid we are not here to help you put on a charade just so you can feel less guilty about watching something your religion frowns upon.

There's no relationship between them in the drama nor the novel. There were however rumors that wen wing's actress invested in the production, and in the initial draft of the drama, she is the FL and bff with JYL. Basically all the male characters are in love with her and JZX only married JYL because he was rejected by WQ. Even WWX and LWJ are supposed to be love rivals for her affection. The library scene was supposed to be between her and LWJ. Notice how WQ was in Cloud Recess during the exchange study (she wasn't there in the novel). It might be a remnant of the initial draft. Even the final scene in the mountains was supposed to be WQ's voice calling out to WWX, after WWX parted ways with LWJ to "roam the world in search of WQ". It was a big old mess and many novel fans were obviously pissed. For a period of time netizens were mockingly calling it Wen Qing Ling instead of Chen Qing Ling.

So i guess the scriptwriter changed the ending to draw parallel with YBY and Rong Chang Qing's story. RCQ was attempting to master the Liu He Shen Gong but it ended up backfiring on him. YBY wanted to save him and transferred the skill onto himself, inadvertently mastering the skill and gaining immortality. Perhaps a side effect of transferring the skill away is that the all the giver's (as in RCQ/WKX ) hair will become white. Maybe RCQ did indeed have white hair but we wouldn't know since he wasn't shown physically anywhere in the drama. However, we do know that RCQ did survive albeit remained a mortal.

So why did YBY lie to WKX about the whole sacrificing your life yadda yadda when he's been through that and obviously knew that no one died?

Based on the parallel, it make sense that ZZS (as the recipient) gained immortality like YBY. But how did WKX gained immortality too when RCQ remained a mortal?
Care to shed some light on these?

can someone who has read the novel help to explain the history of ghost valley? YBY mentioned in ep 33 that the ghost valley was founded by rong chang qing as a sanctuary for people who has nowhere else to go. Wasn't rong chang qing staying with YBY in the holy mountain throughout his life? And how is rong xuan connected to the ghost valley? Was he the valley master when he went berserk?
