I think some Shrimps are okay, but personally, as a semi-turtle, I'm not welcomed by them. So I don't really interact with them and I try to stay away from them as much as possible. I'm not much of a turtle, but I do read XZ and WYB fanfics occasionally... that alone puts me on the blacklist when it comes to XFX (Shrimps).

I'm reading the article and I find it very insightful. I have seen some stuff about the 227 Incident, but it was all on the perspective of XFX fandom. But they were the ones who almost destroyed XZ's career and for what? Fanfiction? I have read part of that fanfic they made a scandal about and reported it to Chinese gov or something... It's not as scandalous as it may seem... although I only used mtl to translate it with.

I guess, to each their own. I probably won't ever finish that fic though, mostly because it is marked as finished but the story isn't truly finished. The author, understandably, is no longer on the platform, on AO3. I think they feel embarrassed for the whole mess, but then again, it's not their fault that the XFX fandom at large thought their fanfic was appalling or something. What happened to "don't like, don't read"? /smh

I'll read it right now. I have had an altercation with Liz and some others on XZ's profile page on here, so I understand what I'm getting into by replying to you and others on this page. I also made my stance clear on his page with my recent comment... I was never brave enough to voice my own wishes until I saw that others are standing up to the bullying also. I'm glad that I'm not the only one seeing how nasty these people are. I'm not saying "all Shrimps are bad fans" but some of them are.

This is the oddest thing I've ever seen. 7 out of 10.

Theatre: A Love Story starring Yamazaki Kento! I watched this one right now and it's so good.
Highly recommend! I will be watching more of his works!

It had its funny moments but it's probably not memorable. 8.5 out of 10.

Man, the video quality brought the score of this short film to a 6 out of 10 for me.
Although I mainly watched it for Gun Atthaphan, so there's that.
Story was nice, this is why I couldn't score it lower.

I'm watching Double Helix now and it's like this drama. I don't know if worse or not yet.
But Lu Feng assaults his ML counterpart like Fan Xiao does.

I have yet to get past episode 4 in Double Helix and honestly I don't know how I got through To My Shore. :(

As a BL fan, I gotta say that The Untamed was good. Really good. But was it proper BL? Unfortunately not. I wish China would get over itself and lift the ban on BL. So we can have a proper adaptation of MXTX's works. Full with kisses and NC scenes and faithful to the books.
Unfortunately The Untamed will forever be slight bromance instead of full on BL. I wish they'd at least release Tian Guan Ci Fu's drama out of censored land because that drama ended filming a long time ago and they haven't released it yet.
And if I want Xiao Zhan and Wang Yi Bo to kiss on screen for a revival of The Untamed, this time proper BL, 50 episodes and all, well, that's just my fan heart speaking. Sad to say we won't ever see that either.
I am looking forward to Xiao Zhan's upcoming dramas, especially (maybe even only), The Infinite 10 Days. He plays a killer role in this one and the style of this drama interests me greatly. I cannot wait to see him on screen again. I tried watching Legend of Zang Hai but gave up after two episodes and I doubt I'll get back to it again. But with this one, The Infinite 10 Days, I hope to have lots of fun! :D

Okay I had enough of reading comments for now. Funny though, that Shrimps think they can control who posts on this page or any other. I have made my replies to some people, hope you guys don't mind. As for everyone else, stop being so obnoxious. It's giving desperate and panicked.

Isn't that homophobic though? That they think actors who played in BL roles are subpar and they have to work harder to get "better" roles. "Ethics and morals" my ass. I think China needs to get over the homophobia and real quick at that too. It's unfortunate because The Untamed isn't even proper BL. If it was proper BL, then I might have understood their outrage at him trying to get into "better" roles. Due to the homophobia. But The Untamed has been censored to hell and back, it's only at most a slight bromance. Which is unfair, all things considered. Oh and I'm talking about the last 2 paragraphs in your reply. Interesting that he's waiting to be cast in roles by certain directors and that's how you know he's made it. Although he's been making it for a while now, XZ. His roles so far are getting more serious by the second. I couldn't finish Legend of Zang Hai and doubt I'll get into it now. As for this series, I'm looking forward to it. I liked the trailer of Infinite 10 Days and it seems like something right up my alley. So I wanted to check the drama page. You can imagine my (non)surprise at seeing arguments in the comment section lol

You're right, XZ is doing just fine. I don't have a clue if his projects aren't chosen by him or if he listens to advice from those around him though. Do you think so? I always thought he likes acting a lot, but his roles are few and far between, right? You mentioned something along these lines.

If you're wondering why I'm replying to you after 3 months is because, I am very much enjoying the trainwreck this comment section has become and I read the comments that are trying to argue for their life against Shrimps. lol

"women are always gonna be another women's biggest hater for male attention" you're right. unfortunately.. some Shrimps are not supporting women. that's the first time I heard Zhang Jing Yi was made fun of for being cast alongside XZ. tbh based on how Shrimp fandom is, it's to be expected. sad to say some fandoms are toxic and XZ's fandom is no exception. :(

You're right. Unfortunately, some Shrimps do not agree with you. They are too involved in the bullying to care about harming XZ's image or anything. I think they need a chill pill also. :(

That's hilarious! Also, I had an altercation with Liz last year on XZ's page on here... not pleasant to say the least. She's so annoying. I'm glad you didn't give up and back out from the fight. Shrimps are so whiny I s2g. They can't tell that people aren't out to get XZ or to harm him. At the time, I even said I'm XZ fan but no Shrimp. I think to be a Shrimp is to be insane. A lot of them have a victim complex and see enemies in everyone else. :(
