FIRSTKHAOTUNG ON TOP

changing my review after rewatching this for the 2nd time. this is actually amazing. the most under rated from gmmtv. the more you try to interpret this, the more the plot gets deeper. what i think is, The Eclipse uses the school setting as a microcosm for a corrupt nation, highlighting how openly queer individuals who refuse losing their sense of identity are met with systemic punishment. it also represents mental health and exposes the harms of both internalized and institutionalized homophobia. this series actually talks about being gay and gay life not just falling in love and romance. no one could've portrayed the characters of Akk and Ayan like First and Khaotung. their acting skills are unmatchable. if you find this show mid or boring then this is not for you and you should stick to watching shows that are easy-to-watch with a joke of a plot. if you didn't watch The Eclipse, then you are TRULY missing out. gmmtv really got two of the best actors in their hands and said yes, let's keep them in our basement and give them one show per year.

US ??

first of all, gmmtv totally changed the plot from the novel and kept the main plot and the name only, and that's the best decision they made. this is the best gl from gmmtv so far. one of the best from gmmtv in general as well. this is top notch. this show is nearly perfect. the script writer deserves a raise. the cinematography is so mesmerizingly beautiful. the first few episode might feel a bit boring and slow paced, but it slowly dives into the plot and gets you hooked. every character in this series has a personality, this series is the closest to how real life is. no unrealistic plot. what i love the most about this is, this show didn't include the "mandatory" episode 11 break up, and getting back together out of the blue after a huge time skip with one episode left. another thing i love is, how they stick together till the very end, never doubted their partner, always communicated, how rak instantly snapped back when nene tried to stir things between her and pam. their bonding is too strong to get tackled that easily. the build up was so good. this show doesn't only focus on the main couple and add up unrealistic and unnecessary drama, it shows the difference between both pam and rak's family. the ending was so sad yet felt so heartwarming. the grandma was so adorable and memorable. this show is a lot more than two people falling in love, getting together and happy ending forever. it's more about dealing with toxic family members, dealisng with family issues, living a hard life while still being in a supportive and healthy relationship. i love how each character finally got their inner peace at the end. this deserves a lot more recognisation and a higher rating. i hope gmmtv takes their gl's seriously and keep up the good work. overall, 10/10. also, just my opinion, us -> 23.5 -> pluto.

I.LOVE.THIS

i loved it soooo much. I've been sleeping on this for 3 whole years. when it came out i didn't watch it because i wasn't a fan of PondPhuwin, i was really excited for FUTS but it disappointed. since then, they were the couple i was least interested in BUT after We Are, they changed my opinion on them. i couldn't believe how much they improved so i decided to give this a try and i made the right decision. this is freaking beautiful from the beginning to the end. i could feel their love through the screen. that's how powerful it is. Palm is EXTREMELY adorable and a total green flag. both of them did a great job. the cinematography is probably one of the best from GMMTV. tho this has some plot holes but i think those can be easily ignored because of their love and chemistry. the ost "only one" by Pond is really beautiful as well, it has become one of my most favourites. but i do wish they showed us the ending with them finally being together forever in peace. but it was good too. overall, 12/10.

Amazing show.

i usually dont write reviews but I loved this show so much. i was sceptical if i would be able to keep up with this or not since its 24 episodes long which isn't really common for thai bls. not a fan of forcebook's acting or forcebook in general, didn't know how perthsanta will be, and i didn't even know who juniormark were (they're my favourite couple now lol) still wanted to give it a try. and it was a good decision. i will rate 3 couples individually first,
arcarm, frankly, i did not like their storyline at all. it was alright, but not smth i usually watch. but i enjoyed the trio a lot and the comedy was peak, so it kept me entertained throughout their storyline and i somehow finished watching the first part. hardly a 5.7/10.
yothagun, their story was better than arcarms but not the best either. their chemistry was undeniable and their acting was great, especially santa. i did not know what to expect from them since they're a new pair and they did not disappoint. for their story, it wasn't anything amazing but it was engaging because the chemistry and the acting was good. the comedy was still there in this part but a bit less than the first part. aouboom was a side couple in the second part which made this part even more interesting. 8.5/10
and lastly, faifawine, the last part, i have no words for these two. they were AMAZING. just amazing. no toxicity from them, their chemistry was the best in this entire show, great acting and great music. the the last episodes were the best ones. faifawine's story has more depth to it because throughout the entire show, faifa is shown as the funny and happy friend who never feels sad! faifa being vulnerable to eine, and crying for the first time (in the show) was so heartbreaking to watch, im not gonna talk about how and why their story is better because no spoiler but, as someone who watched the show on-going, perfect 10 liners blew up during faifawine's episodes. idk about anyone, but i didn't know jumark before this and i wasn't expecting anything from them. i was even planning to drop the show after yothagun's episodes but im glad that i didn't. i sometimes piled up some episodes during the first and second part, first part especially, but not for once did i leave one episode for later during faifawine's part. faifa is the funniest character in this entire series, he's not just funny he's mature as well. he's a good friend, a good brother, a good son and a good boyfriend ofc. we all deserve someone like faifa in our life fr, easily a 12/10. despite being the best couple they've 7 episodes while other two couples have 8 episodes each (im salty about it)
this show is sweet, comforting and fun to watch.friendship between the main characters were so refreshing to watch as well. this is also one of the funniest shows from gmmtv or one of the funniest thai series I've watched in general. the comedy is top tier and all 3 couple has their charms and never failed to make us laugh or giggle over them. they delivered the unhinged comedy perfectly which is probably why i love this series more. there's also faifa and yotha's siblings dynamic, family issues etc. the storyline overall, is nothing different or special what makes it special is how it delivers each couples storyline and the dynamic between each and every characters. dont expect anything mind blowing from this just because it has many episodes but don't sleep on this either. skipping to watch one or two couples only isn't a problem but i think watching the entire thing is better. my last 5 months were great because of perfect 10 liners. overall, 10/10.
