I for one agree with the bulk - No way did i think i wanted an honourable way for him to put them away. Its reality to accept that morally grey characters exist. It just made no sense for a genius developer to suddenly fall prey to a hacking attempt. It seemed a like a convoluted way to get the cop hurt(thereby letting them reconcile even though that was quite a bad way to resolve that dilemma) and the whole schtick of the Superstar lawyer exposing also felt hollow. It wouldve been more fun to see him outwit them, willingly give himself up, and then pull of the suicide stunt. That recent drama with Ji chang wook had the villain outsmarting even at the end. That made sense to me.
But yeah, otherwise the drama was great, and I really enjoyed the morally grey daughter.

Characters killed offscreen? He wasn’t… the terrarium shows he survived but tucked himself away, and that…
I didn't want to go into spoilers - but his staged death is offscreen is what I meant. And I don't like how his character was handled. He had severely questionable means. But he wasn't the type to do the murders? It felt like they had to invent a way for the MC's to call him unquestionably evil. The whole Batman/Punisher dynamic was something we could've explored in detail. Especially since the only reason they managed to even do some damage was by his 'evil means'.
And second season is almost inevitable - The uncle walking free, the new party, his supposed return from death, the personal issues that each character has; the whole ending sequence made me think this was going to have a sequel.
