I usually ignore dramas without romance but this drama made me feel giddy even with the subtle romance!!! It's that good!! and the bromance is so natural..

I have watched EP 1 and SJK never fail. Many are complaining about the mafia thing. I think it is more of a background, like how he got rich and pretty much the reason why he is in Korea in the first place. Its Black Comedy Drama so don't anticipate more mafia scenes.

I have no comment for the FL since I haven't watch any of her dramas and I'm still getting a hang of her character.

No, it's a spin-off so it's neither. Although they should at lease merge at some point, the timeline here is kind of late than what was on the first? In my opinion, disregard the timeline, think of it as a separate drama and just follow the events.
