Am I the only one who did not hear the bird call at the beginning of ep 7?
I saw Changyang in the back, but missed the bird call. Had to rewatch because someone mentioned it. Wish they had made it a little more obvious that he heard the call but it led to such a great scene
Oh hell no. I could not get through the first episode without screaming. I have worked for some very powerful/selfish…
To be fair, I think he's doing all these to test Changyang because he's been hurt before. So he's creating scenarios to see when Changyang would turn away from him. Also some people just complement each other. One likes to be taken care of and he found someone who likes to take care of him. They're literally a perfect pair.
In many episodes, the on-screen song lyrics appear to take up most of the subtitle space, making it very difficult…
At least they show both now. I think at some point they'd cut the actual dialogue subs off whenever new lyric lines popped in and it was impossible to read so fast haha
I don't understand the hate the FL gets here in the comments haha. I found her refreshingly able to set boundaries, and clear headed. No one asked the ML to do all those things for her, he does it because he loves her, while she still believes this is more of a marriage of convenience. The miscommunications in this series is pretty short lived, nothing gets really dragged out. They talk most things out fairly quickly. And the second office couple is a BLAST. Loved loved loved them.
Even the love triangle gets resolved in a decent way. Love that the girl shows enough maturity to say "Your issue is going to come out anyways. Why would I burn this bridge? I'll just move on." This show was very fluffy, and a really nice light watch.
This is absolutely a comfort watch for me. Surprised how much I love it. I tried to watch this a couple of times, but the FL was a little too childish for me. But the last time I persevered, I realized she was exactly what Zhang Lurang needed. Watching her always being there for him, always showing him she saw him, and was there for him. And watching him fall in love with her as the series progressed and eventually they were both each other's rocks. I've rewatched this several times now, and it's such a warm and cuddly series to unwind to.
I have never been offput by a character as much as I have for Ding Jia Yun. I literally could not take having him on my screen. Loved the start of this, the main couple was very very cute, but it dragged in the second half. Side couple was also cute, but took way too much screen time.
