Chaotic fun with intensely beautiful visuals

One of the most unique and fun dramas I've ever watched! Intense visuals, chaotic plot lines, and absurd humor.

The leads' partnership is such a beautiful thing to witness. They truly treat each other as equals and in a entirely strange new world, they only have each other. It's easy to see how their relationship developed into love especially with the ML's tender eyes. Zhang San truly carried the drama with his duality as the mad tyrant and silly jokester.

Honestly, I felt no butterflies with their romance which was weird because I love the he fell first AND harder trope. The chemistry was there but it felt underdeveloped. I didn't swoon or cry. Their love just wasn't the focal point of the story. It was a fight for survival and going against the script, not romance.

Most hilarious and chaotic historical K-drama

A riveting historical drama that has you on the edge of your seat with each episode. It is widely entertaining and I love the relationship balance of the main leads. Bong Hwan is unapologetically herself and when the King fell in love, he was like a infatuated clueless puppy.

Internal palace drama is intense and the concept of the King and Queen teaming up, unlike other dramas where it's the opposite, is satisfying to see. The humor is top-notch and when the stakes are high, you are definitely invested in the outcome.

The storyline is enthralling yet the ending was one of the worst I have ever watched. It's like you're running towards the finish line and instead of scoring, you turned around and did jumping jacks. It made no sense why the actual FL in the body would go back when the ML fell in love with her and her craziness? Otherwise, a fun drama to put on when you need a good laugh.

An extraordinary, chaotic fateful first love

Such a unique and unpredictable plot line guarantees that you are on the edge of your seat with each episode. Complex characters, mind-bending plot twists, and a touch of EVERY cliche from amnesia to historical royalty transforms this drama into a fun rollercoaster.

The stakes are high for spunky, peppy Dan-Oh as she chaotically attempts to change her fate. If she is the force pushing the story, Haru is the life given to it. He may be a quiet character, but his heartfelt eyes for Dan-Oh proves their chemistry.

Their romance is simply adorable. It's impossible not to root for them.

Entrancing visuals for the eyes and heart

The classic Cold ML x Naive FL trope, the soul switch was done well since it was easy to see who was in which body based off their quirky, cringy micro-expressions. It's adorable how obsessively protective Dongfang is of Orchid.

The biggest flaw is Orchid being horrifically embarrassing in the beginning. Her squeaky, baby voice along with her attempts of acting cute had me in tears. It was THAT bad. I understand it's due to her naive and pure persona, but it was agonizing to watch.

Overall, a feast for the eyes and heart. Intense face cards in magnetic landscapes with magical OSTs and beautiful VFX. The humor and angst is fierce, the moments of laughter are hearty and tears are gut-wrenching. Simply a magical and heartwarming fairytale.

A haunting tale of when a king falls in love

An incredibly heartbreaking but realistic portrayal of how it is to love a king in the Joseon era. Sorrowful OST, profound acting, and well-paced story line.

It's obvious that Deok-Im and Yi San are in love with each other but the palace politics and her desire to maintain independence are strong obstacles. When they ultimately did ended up together, it is not a celebration but a condemnation. There is an intense political plot drama, but their moments of romance are very sweet.

A humorous beginning that ended in such tragedy that I would cry even to this day. The tears would not end for the woman in love with a man who had everything but was not able to gave her the one thing she desired, his entire self.

Intense world-building wuxia of justice and power

The drama is not your average wuxia. It is a heavy with plot lines that build on one another with hidden identities, dangerous battles, and cross-kingdom politics. An entertaining watch that slowly captivates you with the sheer amount of lore.

The biggest standout is the leads' romance. Never have I witnessed such a healthy, mature relationship. They truly respect and view each other as equals. Such a partnership is hard to find where both the ML and FL come to each others' rescue. Their relationship is adorable, as they act like an old married couple. However, their romance is just not the focal point of the story.

Who Rules the World is a tale of politics and martial arts. It is a story that is constantly building as it escalates into war and death. The stakes are so high that it makes the romance simply not important enough. There are cute, sweet moments but there's always an insane amount of things happening that overshadow it.

Healing and unconditional second chance romance

To me, this drama is like a warm hug. An endless warmth after a blistering snow storm.

Yifan is so sad and lonely with a painful past, but Sang Yan is so incredibly caring. He carries a quiet intensity that no matter what life throws at them, he will be the one to keep them afloat. It's funny how it seems like it's the cold ML x naive FL cliche. The dual POVs reveal that their misunderstandings are due to fear to hurt the other when there actually is such a depth of love.

Yifan's trauma is intense and almost triggering. It's understandable why she is the way she is, her strength is quiet but unyielding. Sang Yan is the most chalant nonchalant man I ever witness. He is such a loser in-love that it hurts my eyes.

A second-chance romance that actually is a first love story, Sang Yan had never let go.
