Loved it except for the ending

This show was actually really captivating for me. I usually get bored watching this type of drama, but the way they paced the story and character development always had me wanting to watch the next episode. I loved how the FL was more of a strong, independent, competent person instead of a damsel in distress. I think this type of role suits Jung Chae Yeon really well, I'd like to see her in more of these types of shows.

When watching most dramas, I end up cringing or getting angry at the character's actions or terrible humor. This show, being a more serious type of show, I enjoyed it a lot more. All the characters made rational decisions and acted like normal people. There were no overused cliches.

What I didn't like was the ending. I felt there was no closure. The last episode felt very rushed in terms of story progression- too much happened at the very end. I almost feel like it needs another season to properly explore all of the character's stories. It also felt a bit repetitive with it essentially being a case per episode, but I guess that comes with being a lawyer drama.

Overall, a very good production. Loved the actors and the writing, it did a great job differentiating itself from other dramas. I would absolutely watch another season of it.

One of the best dramas I've watched

I'll start off by saying that I absolutely loved Hotel del Luna, so another drama by the Hong sisters was a must watch for me. And I think that they did not disappoint.

The story is so well crafted and creative. There are no glaring plot holes. Everything that happens or appears is tied into the story well without seeming forced. The romances were paced very well (not falling in love too fast). The characters don't make boneheaded moves that make me yell at my TV. Overall is a very well thought out story.

On the topic of the couples, I honestly really liked all of the side couples. Yes, the Dang Gu/Cho Yeon couple had very little actual development, but somehow ended up being one of my favorites.

As for the cast, Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook really made this show what it is. They, along with the rest of the case, did such a good job with immersing me into the story.

The only thing that I didn't like is the ending. I got so attached to Mu-deok/Jung So-min, then you end it like that? I barely wanted to watch season 2 because of that.

Apart from my one complaint, this show was such a good production. The story kept me hooked the entire time. Everything was cohesive and purposeful. It was very well paced, episodes were a good length. I saw someone mention that it could have been half the length with the same story, however I really enjoy spending every possible minute with the cast/watching the show. I never found myself bored.

In a world of sloppy rom-coms, this show is such a breath of fresh air, with it's focus on the fantasy story and action scenes, all while still incorporating some of my favorite romances/couples. It's very rare that I find a show that I like this much.

A unique and captivating watch

I absolutely loved this show. This is a drama that I will remember for a while.

It's definitely different from most dramas I watch. I liked the focus on the main storyline instead of just a couple going through the usual drama arc. I personally don't care for the overdone kissing and cliches, which is why this show stood out to me. This has left me wanting more of this type of production.

This is one of the few dramas that had me dying to know what was going to happen in the next episode. The cast also did an excellent job. This show had all the suspense and mystery to keep me interested, along with the hints of GL (another thing that made it unique).

I do wish the ending was more fleshed out. That is my only complaint.... or just make another season.. I'd like that even better.

Well paced, refreshing drama. No overused cliches

I felt that this show was a well-paced, refreshing drama. I like that the main couple didn't fall in love too fast, and I also essentially got a full episode of them being happy together, instead of just cutting it off at the end of episode 16 right after they started dating. Yes, it's a little infuriating watching Jaewon and Eun-o still in love with each other but taking forever to get together. I didn't mind it though as it let the show go on a bit longer.

One thing this show did really good was closure. I felt that this was some of the best closure that I've seen from a show. The two main lead actors also did an excellent job.

Another thing I really liked was the absence of overused cliches. There was no tripping and falling into someone's arms in every episode. There was no excruciating staring at each other for 10 minutes straight.

One thing I didn't like was the whole interview/documentary format. It just felt like filler and always confused me on the timeline. I also felt like the side characters/couples lacked much depth, but I didn't mind that as much since I enjoyed the story of the main couple so much.

Overall, this show was very enjoyable. It might seem slow paced to some people, but I felt that it was paced exactly how it should be. It kept my attention very well, and every episode I watched had me immediately wanting to watch the next episode. That, along with the minimal use of cliches and excellent main actors, made it such an excellent, quality watch. I highly recommend.
