uhh no it would matter if she was 6. not sure how the convo strayed to this but i’m not saying that because she was casted young that he’s somehow a groomer now. i’m literally just saying that the younger they cast her the weirder the age gap looks because their romance starts when shes in college. even the show talks about how it is a topic of debate that she is so young. i mean a 5 year difference when someone is in college is prob the max i would go for it being not weird. are u saying it would be fine if shes 19 and he's 30? i mean i don’t hold the same values if so. like we know its not grooming that’s not the issue it’s just that yes it would be really weird if hes pushing 30 and shes just starting college.

yea i totally get that perspective it does get a little cringe. but for me i think in hollywood and just western media in general they’ve always been using adults to play teenagers throughout my entire life. hence, i’m pretty use to seeing someone who's 20 playing a teenager. i thought in this aspect it was more weird as by 14 most people have started puberty and the actress looks like an elementary schooler. in my opinion that’s more off putting as she’s supposed to be the love interest. talking to my friends, this choice definitely made people jump to conclusions and feel weird as they were shocked she was supposed to be 14 and not 10.

I really enjoyed this cdrama so much. The actors had such great chemistry and the story was so sweet. One thing I did wish for was more closure/explanation on the side stories. I was honestly curious about the roommate and her crush but nothing was really said in the last episode. In terms of the age gap, it definitely could have been worse and I like that they did address that concern. Although, it is kinda crazy that they hired a 12 yr old to play a 14yr old when those are two very different ages and stages of growth. That definitely made me doubtful at first when she looked 10 at the beginning but once you get to the uni years it definitely picks up and feels more natural. Overall, I'm gonna miss this drama so much and will probably rewatch it in the future T_T

aside from the heartbreak of the last episode, i really enjoyed seeing yurim and heedo's friendship. loved the scene where they both cried/hugged each other after their madrid match... i do wish we got some kind of closure on yijin tho. it would have been nice if they at least hinted that he had a life beyond his reporter side as we know heedo has a husband/kid. this was definitely worth the watch but it's hard to let go of the ending T_T

they did not do a good job ending this kdrama. even reading the webtoon i just don't understand ghosting someone you care about to this extent in an era of phones and the internet. they also made suho oddly clingy which is far from his character in the webtoon. seojun is also being weird with pretending they kissed and possibly saying jugyeong and him are dating when they're not (ep 16 preview, idk just a guess). feel like the writers are botching all the characters and we're just sitting here watching the mess LOL.

Hmmm your blaming of Jugyeong and walking away mid conversation is really misplaced. Suho was being manipulative,…
LMAO i agree with the therapy thing it seems too much is going on with him specially since jugyeong is his only source of real affection. both need better communication and i really wish jugyeong had put him in his place with the soojin stuff after he was spouting that nonsense... hopefully we get character progression where she’s able to be more confident in her ideas and feelings.

yea i didn’t write about him being toxic because i was writing my few takeaways. i’m pretty disturbed with the behavior of multiple characters especially suho this episode. and tbh your’re correct saying she had the right to walk away there when he was crossing the line. however, in general her communication has been poor the entire show. this is obviously due to insecurities, but at some point it comes off childish where she needs to learn to say what she’s feeling to the people she cares about and think about how they would feel/best way to approach these conflicts.

this episode was legit painful. i laughed during the dumpling scene but it was only pain after holy... jugyeong doesn't know how to communicate at all even in PERSON?? like suho came all the way outside to work something out and she walks away mid talk like grow up oh my god PAIN. the way soojin is playing with suho and jugyeong when she knows they're dating is so disturbing as well. when she didn't let jugyeong tell her she was dating suho so she could say it first... granted jugyeong really needs to speak up but awergshtd. i know they'll redeem her character like the one in gangnam beauty but watching this as it airs is taking years off my life LMAO.

i thought this was gonna go down the 'cheese in the trap' path with a more open ending since the webtoon is still being aired. however i feel like they're actually just gonna end it with suho. if you're reading the webtoon, regardless of her relationship with seojun i also think the ending is suho for that as well so idk man. hopefully there's a happy ending for both seojun and suho i love them ;"(

they really made all the characters super likeable in this kdrama. i struggled with liking a few of them in the webtoon so it's nice to be able to enjoy every aspect of the story so far. i'm definitely team suho for both the webtoon and kdrama. however, i like all the characters so much in this kdrama that i'm down for anything to happen in the end LOL.

i can't wait till next week om. it's been cool to see what has been relatively accurate from the webtoon and what's been changed. also, for anyone looking to start this, you need to keep in mind that it's based on a webtoon. you're gonna see heavy cliches and "cringe" stuff all throughout. it's a highschool comedy so if you really don't like amped up cheesy stuff, this is definitely not for you.

lee joongi definitely deserves an award for his acting in this drama!! casting was also so perfect for every character (especially the teen versions of the characters). every episode left me excited for the next and i definitely recommend. however, if you're not a fan of weird coincidences this might not be the show for you.

i felt like the drama had a lot of unexplained points and the ending left me feeling really incomplete. but i loved do hwa so much so i'll bump the rating up to a 7 :') i feel like i can definitely understand both sides on why it was really bad or really good. overall it was just an okay drama for me but i think it's worth a shot for anyone on the fence!

this is actually the perfect drama for right after you finish a depressing drama :( kinda like a slice of life genre so there's no huge conflict but super fluffy and if you're into that you'll prob like it!
