currently in ep 1, first time seeing a drama filmed like this with the wide angle shots. the direction is kinda…
Yes! The director is doing the most with these unconventional angles and it fits so well with the general vibe of the drama. I'd even say that this direction style is one the reasons the show is so entertaining to watch.
ok, let's get something straight. the target demography for this show are kids and teenagers so any kind of physical intimacy is intentionaly minimal because otherwise the production would break the PG13 or PG15 principles and that for sure would ruffle someone's feathers. is the couple dynamics that TinWat portray right now unrealistic? yes. is it bad? no, because this is fiction aimed for younger audience and we won't get heavy and raw struggles the couples may face in real life. same for more intimate moments between them. this is not that kind of a show and it will never be. get over it. having that in mind we can still appreciate that we have a non problematic LGBTQ themed mainstream show because this is still unthinkable and unreachable for many LGBTQ people across the globe. and it's kinda pointless to compare 2gether to WhyRU or other BL series because they are different in terms of content and target audience but they still give us a much needed LGBTQ represenation and normalisation in media.
ok, everyone complains about uneven screen time for main couples but are we ignoring the fact that the writers throw two side couples between the mains and their scenes are kinda random and unnecessary because of so little screentime there is no proper character introduction not to mention development. like who are these people, why do i have to care lmao
Ugh, don't get me wrong I love all of the characters, but it was one hell of a snoozfest. I think that's what happenes when you forget to throw plot somewhere between the romance.
I watched it last night and I still feel disgusted. it left that stinky feeling in my mouth like after the night of drinking. I don't know what's appealing in toxic relationship and not respecting the other persons' boundaries. Why physical and sexual assault is fetishisized in BL dramas and accepted/liked by BL community. Like, what's wrong with people? I personally watch some BL series because as a lesbian I crave some lgbt representation in my favourite type of media (asian dramas) and there is almost zero lesbian content, but most of the representation I got is actually harmful stereotypes and awful romantization of violence disguised as intense love and... affection? This is not about us and not for us. Still looking for more serious take on lgbt stories be it everyday life, fantasy, melodrama whatever. I think History2 did a great job on this. Keep it going and ditch this harmful rapey nonsense.
