Man exactly my thoughts, but i still enjoyed the show, just had to turn of my brain switch.

Let's see yes you are right your issue with the show is very very subjective to yourself. I am a male and man i love his energy and it reminded me of lucifer from show lucifer (Hollywood) in which tbh i hated the female lead and worst female lead ever was in flash (I hated the whole show after 4 season). Any ways can relate to your irritation but man his personality and yes his bond with his brother didn't even made me think about fl, you always expect romance arc in korean dramas or atleast emotional arc and i love that and thats why i watch them in the first place but we have to remember we cannot always get perfect subjective leads and a great plot for us in every show, so take my tip and try to not hate her yet, the show has 12 more episodes to go, also i am not a huge murder mystery fan and i didn't really think that deeply in those scenes like in episode 3 coz i have mo energy for that rn and i am still loving the show, guess i just like energetic leads. But hey don't be harsh on thr rating just yet, maybe you have high standards but me i rate a worse show 6/10, i tend to enjoy as much as i can, i don't think about nuances and nieche attributes of show whether for bad or good and my motto is always "If i enjoy it, it was good", i don't really expect a show to match reality or be highly logical. Just make me feel good. So yeah hole yo enjoy the show but stay positive, or else you will only focus on negative in each episode.

It's funny bcz i dropped hometown chachacha before i had watched just one or two korean dramas including "all of us are dead" but after few months for some reason i was feeling like watching something slow and man "hometown chachacha" is on my toplist now just because it was so calm and made me feel good overal and i have to say i never dropped any kdrama even if they were meh but "a good day to be a dog" genuinly kept getting worse and worse with each episode with first being intresting and full of potential and 7th being "you gotta be kidding me"...But yeah it happens taste and mood but yeah one thing i didn't like about "welcome to samdalri" is the overall harmony between plot and characters which felt out of place unlike hometown chachacha whivh was perfect. Although WTS is like one of those shows where mystery keeps unfolding slowly with each episode while maintaining that tension and so far i like it. Also suspicious partner is another one which got me very bored but its not bad though. The thing about korean dramas if you are very busy and barely get time to watch shows "korean dramas" is not for you like i am for last few days since my exams started (lol). But yeah hard to get back onto heavy plotted holywood shows after binge addicted to korean dramas where i watched 25 shows and watching few in 3-4months.

Currently airing Welcome to samdalri is also.very good (very hometown cha cha cha vibes)
