I only watched this for Kim Yoo Jung BUT DAMN GIRL YOU NEED TO CHOOSE BETTER DRAMAS
I have to agree. 21st century girl was not bad tho. I hope she chooses a good one soon. I feel like she would suit those small town healing beach dramas so I hope she tries that. Or more serious roles in non romance dramas. Her past few romance dramas have just been so bad
Dropped at ep 14. Can’t seem to bring myself to watch the final two eps despite the sunk cost. And just reading spoilers here I more or less know how it ended. I’ve thought that it was unoriginal from the beginning, but yet it was still somehow entertaining so I kept watching. However it just kept getting worse in terms of plot and direction. The dialogues were awkward and cringey at times. Humour was just not funny i honestly don’t know why they even tried. The writer must be super environmentally friendly because there was a lot of plot recycling from other dramas. Honestly I don’t even know why they thought 16 eps was necessary because nothing really happened. Acting was awkward at best, although Kim Yoo jung always proves herself in emotional scenes. Watch for the leads’ visuals if you really must, otherwise romance is lackluster and unconvincing. The plot is even worse. However if you can’t stand watching shopping date compilations then I suggest you skip this one.
This was a very nice watch! Enjoyable enough for me to overlook its flaws. I loved the relationships in the drama and it was the highlight of the show for me! We had romance(s), familial bond, sisterhood (by blood and by bond), friendship, neighbourhood/community bond, and even relationship with colleagues (be it good or bad). Except for ONE person I actually didn’t find any character annoying. Also this had a very nice set of OSTs and remakes of classic songs. The drama made me wish it was summer right now!!! Even tho I live in a tropical country!!!! OH YES AND MY FAVOURITE WAS THE HAENYEO AUNTIES!!!
The ending was so weird. I feel like nothing is wrapped up and all the fight was for nothing.
Despite the slow start, the show was entertaining but was not without flaws. The forced slow mo romance in the first few eps was just not it. Idk why they felt that was necessary since the romance between the two leads was actually decent and sufficient in later episodes. I really liked the grimmer aspects of the show, however they could’ve toned down on the plot armour to keep the stakes high in the show.
