My bad, i didn't understood that way. Yes, since you're not her fan it's normal for you to not see her other dramas, i was saying that to show you that her acting was not the problem but just her character personality.
No worries i've seen Xu Kai in Falling into your smile (one of my first chinese drama btw) but thanks to WOL I can declare his acting skills increased !
I think that if the production didn't deleted 10 ep, maybe their feelings or chemistry would've been so much better ( especially kiss scene..T-T)

she may use her strategics skills at first but not that much. Because since the beginning she knows that he is stronger than her (so she likes to use some tricks on him).
Their relationship seems to be real bc of that.
Who is capable of trust and being friend with an ennemie just by meeting him once or twice ?? She's focus on her dutys first.
For exemple (i don't know if some ppl noticed that) : when she poisoned him to not put everyone in danger ( old couple) when she came out of hiding, she put back some hay to hide him in case some ennemies were still here, that proves that in this time she already cared for him (even had some feelings towards him but didn't express that as Li NI does)
Plus all the strategic things that she did was not to betray him personaly but for political stuff.
She's a realisttic person who didn't learn how express her feelings. What's beautiful about their relation is that she put Li Ni in front of reality.
She wants him but she thinks that the priority is the peace of the kingdom unlike Li Ni who doesn't wants to take his responsability to live his perfect love with her.
nobody's wrong in this story, its just different pov !! however in this case, Li Ni had to take his role of royal member first bc sometime we can't choose what we want to from what we have to do.

i accept your opinion but devaluing the actress to valorize Xu Kai is a little bit too much. She's a skillful actress, you must watch her other dramas to see that.
Her acting is very good and i watched more than once this drama to see everyone acting. Xu Kai is obviously an amazing actor in this drama. But Jing Tian too, her character is very complex since she keep her mind for herself and don't express that much her feelings. Thats why is more complicated to judge her acting since her role is that complex. If you rewatch the show, i think that youll see the oposite main leads that we have...

I'm little disopointed by the kiss scenes too, bc i've watched the BTS and the kisses were too hot !! i don't know why they edited theses scenes that much.

to be honest, you must watch this one if you like powerful and smart leads. It's a very good drama with a happy ending.
- skilful leads (smart, can fight..)
- dilemmas (both decisions or feelings are understable )
- real problems (choosing between whats better for you or for your kingdoom ?)
- strategy
- no denial about their feelings
- ending totaly fulfilling
- mature relationship
- excellent OST and production
Just try to watch some eps and make your own statement.

Actually, some OST are on my playlist.. I can't get tired of it.
But i saw many comments saying that A Ying/ Cui lin was very annoying when she was angry to Li ni but i totaly disagree . She's realistic it's why she said the truth, Li Ni couldn't drop his responsability since he's part of the royal family, so she knew that this was an obligation and not a choice.
Then when she married him, she was angry because of her father situation, she knew that his mental illness was because of her. Yes cause it was because of her love to Li Ni, so she was in a total complicated situation bc she couldn't let her love to Li Ni for her father sake. She probably felt guilty so she wanted to believed that she could hate Li NI but her love was to strong.
A Ying is a complex character, her emotions are very strong and always getting into dilemmas.
Perfect ending btw!!

It's the best Xu Kai performance for the moment. And as always Jing tian shows her amazing acting skills. Saddly, there are no many comments praising her acting who was on top.
Waiting for seeing these two in another drama together !!!
