in my very gay opinion, i think he was sympathising with her bc of the abuse her host faced (i'm talking about chiyako here, cuz raika is one of chiyako's alters)... the drama wasn't really clear but i'm guessing the scar on totonou's chest was also caused by abuse (poor baby)
but that's just all my opinion bc i highkey ship garo and totonou ><

it's fine i hated raika too bc i shipped (and still ship) garo and totonou, so you're not alone in hating raika ahaha
