I really enjoyed the first half of the series, very cute and fluffy. Then it started to go downhill fast thanks to the heavy-handed delivery of the message that leading a sheltered life had limited the FL's acting ability, which pretty much blighted my engagement with the lead characters. To round it off, the ending was weak and abrupt. The supporting cast and side plots were good, and the music excellent.
I really enjoyed this right up until the Noble Idiot plot line. It's understandable, given the worm-toungued manager's intervention, that Mr Lawyer was concerned that the relationship could damage her career, and noble that he is prepared to sacrifice his happiness for her sake. But when asked for the reason for the breakup, he is insincere and evasive - totally out of character. Amongst the many things shattered by the act was the credibility of the character and my engagement in the story. Sure I got to see Yoo In Na and LDW acting heartbroken, but not Oh Yoon Sue and Mr Lawyer being heartbroken as those characters died for me when the writers pressed ahead with such an inappropriately crass plot device. So I was sad watching those scenes, but for all the wrong reasons. The supreme irony was the abrupt ending, when having reconciled the pair appear as a couple in public for the first time, leaving unresolved the very challenges the Noble Idiot play was supposed to avoid.
