This version is actually one of the closest to the novel. The 2008 one deviates too far.
I actually love the 1983 version, it's one of the best versions ever made, and this 2017 version is the closest to the 1983 version in my opinion, which I also love. Also the main OST (without lyrics) in the 2017 version is the exact same original OST (with lyrics) in the 1983 version.

Got it...but I think I'm going to take a break from this series for now, until I'm ready to endure some more heartbreak on Joe's behalf to continue with the series 😪
So now this is the present day and it's two years later so the old Joe is now in a new Joe’s body. (So now you…
OMG thank you for the breakdown, and the hilarious comments added that makes me laugh so hard 🤣🤣 I forgot I was so mad at Ming I can bite his head off. But what happen at the end? Happy ending for Joe I hope (I'm only on ep 3 and I already can't stand psychopath Ming).
I put off this series until now (not sure why). So I just finished ep 3 and I really want to smack Ming upside down (this is probably why) until he snap out of his controlling and abusive behavior. Can someone please spoil me and let me know if he's going to redeem himself, or should I just drop this series? 'Cause I can't take anymore the way he treated Joe, my poor Joe 😪. Please someone help me from throwing my remote at my TV to knock Ming out of his stupor.
