Just here to say : props to Eun Yu cause I feel we don't talk enough about her!!!
The girl has been playing TWICE as many games as all the other contestants, while literally running on bread and porridge, and sleeping on uncomfy beds, with the constant pressure of being eliminated and this TWICE, EVERY SINGLE DAY, and managed to get into the semi-finale main match, almost the very end.
It gets me to wonder how far she would have come with better conditions!
It for sure boosted her resilience up and made her girth her teeth but dayum girl you sure have a strong mindset!!
She became my fav because of this!

Yes. "Loud and explosive" doesn't necessarily refer to dialogue or words said. Joong wears the angry face most of the serie, which is a "louder" emotion and does present as a more agressive persona.

I was also referring to Khaotung's acting that is often compared to First's because similarly his emotions are loud and explosive and thus his acting more noticeable (but once again it doesn't make it better or worse it's just a different way of acting. And once again I love all three their acting)

The way I completely disagree with thisWhile I love Joong acting too, his character is the least nuanced and easiest to play in the whole serie while Kant is one of the most challenging First excels at micro expressions and subtlety which you all seem to miss in favor of loud explosive acting (which is obviously more noticeable. but it doesn't mean it's "better" or "worse")

Might be the odd one out but I actually enjoy the fakeness of KantBison relationship very much : it feels fake, it feels uncomfortable, I don't feel much between them and honestly for me that's EXACTLY how it should be. This is on purpose, this is aligned with what their characters are supposed to feel (Kant is FORCING himself in this relationship even if there is a bit of inital attraction, there's a difference between some attraction and forcing yourself to pursuit and please someone + Bison by nature is a mad dog who does not trust anyone and is very smart, so while his walls might be crumbling there is no way he trust Kant 100% and is mad in love with him + they are BOTH lying to each and pretending like everyhting is fine) and I love that FK are SO GOOD actors that they are even able to tone down the chemistry purposely on demand (cause if you know FK, you KNOW chemistry is the LEAST of their problems, and it's even the reason why they became so popular ). So to be playing a relationship with fake chemistry and actually getting it through the screen, in the way that even us feels that there is something missing is just GENIUS to me. I can't wait to see the angst breaking in and actually moving the pieces of their relationship forward towards something a bit more "REAL"

I didn't say i didn't understand, I said it was confusing in a bad way and there was way better ways to execute such a concept and thus making it confusing in an intriguing way/positive way.
If you can't accept different opinions than yours, don't come to series' review/comment sections.

Was confusing and all over the place, but in a really frustrating / negative way. Instead of intriguing me, I was just fed up. Such a shame, because the cast, chemistry, acting etc... is really great

A rom-com that's worth watching thanks to its incredible cast.The first 2-3 episodes were really good, and then... the script took a nosedive: in terms of writing, storyline, editing, and characterization, it quickly became bad and incoherent.A paradoxical feeling of not having enough time to delve into certain topics, yet at the same time, 1/3 of the episodes were just filler where not much happened, and they could have easily condensed it to 8/10 episodes instead of 12.I split the difference and give it an 8/10 because the chemistry between GreatInn and ThorFluke was really, really good, with other actors (Drake, Ploy, etc.) also enjoyable to watch, which somewhat elevates the mediocre script over a good part of the series that could have been much better thought out and implemented.8/10 also because it's still a good rom-com that's enjoyable to watch, better than other BLs of the same genre on the market, despite the major flaws in the script, characterization, and editing.I'm just a bit disappointed in P'Golf and P'Yok over time (and I hope this doesn't become their characteristic trait because it's not very positive): same feeling as in The Eclipse: an incredible cast that demonstrates amazing chemistry in script premises that are interesting, but the production and actual implementation of this script/these ideas fall short. It starts off so well, but ends up poorly polished/finished, to the point of seeming cheap, clichéd, and underdeveloped: what a shame.

While I definitely agree with the point you are making overall (JD being more popular in Thailand), let's just not get as far as saying "struggle to get jobs at events" here. Remember we are not behind the scenes and the lack of jobs FK has had the past month may also be completely voluntary: Khaotung just bought a house and works a lot in renovating it, and is trying to finish his studies for example. First might have started another degree. They have their brands to manage. They also had way way more international events or " need big preparation events" like FM or concerts than JD the past 6months. Plus they had a very busy end of the year so they also might have requested quite a bit time off as wellThere is alsoooo a lot that is going on that we are not aware of. It's not because we are not hearing from them that they are not working or having other projects/jobs they prefer to focus rather than branded events. JD are very loud on social media, FK are not, which definitely not help in knowing what they are up to and can indeed only give the impression they are not really working.Or you can also be right and they might actually "struggle" domestically, but to be honest we know so little that I also think it might be voluntary (in which case it's not a struggle but a choice)

I think it's very important to realize that distinguishing between real life and fiction in an industry that literally strive off real-life shipping by making actors form official CP and acts as a CP outside of their ACTING role is NOT POSSIBLE.
The BL industry literally feeds off on delusion that actors might actually be together in "real life" and is thus the LEAST eligible space to have such a wishful aspiration.
Being technically possible (as in "they got hired so that makes it ok") does not make it morally right and it is the duty of audience to question this when debatable situation like this arises.

People not understanding that the age gap is not the issue itself, it's really more the fact that one actor is a MINOR being paired with an almost 30-year-old. I don't understand how people can defend this. We are talking about a literal minor, potentially showing him in a romantic relationship and even sexual one (implied or not) with someone 11 years older... This is literally illegal in my country and fetishizing this for your own entertainment is not ok

But don't forget the pilot trailer was literally filmed when they were still shooting/airing Only Friends, so that's actually pretty normal since SandRay were the roles they were embodying at that time and they had not a lot of details at their disposal to build a newer role. I am pretty sure the final product will let us see much more different vibes, let's trust our boys and Jojo on this!

As a FK Stan, I am really excited to see JD in this show as well. And most of my fellow soms on Twitter have been nothing but curious and anticipating regarding JD. So, looking at the comments here, I wonder what's more toxic truly? the FK fandom as it's apparently one of the most toxic fandoms ever formed lol? or people already spitting on the FK fandom and trying to put fandoms against each other when the show didn't even start yet and nothing has even been happening?

FK fandom ain't that special, there are toxic people everywhere, stop making it seems more dramatic that what it really is.

Or at least I am pretty convinced that people calling a fandom toxic have never been actively part of a fandom themselves cause they visibly don't know anything about what goes on in there and how "normal" it is to find a few bad apples that are extremely vocal or "fan cosplay".

Personally I can't wait to see this show and find again my favs FK on screen. And I am also super eager to see a completely new context/roles for JD!

Watchable for me, I read/perceive visuals really fast so it works for me.I really dislike not finishing something so this is my way of doing ,so, to each their own I guess :)

Do you guys know if there is a specific term that refers to dramas that are set in this 20th century period like Gyeongseong Creature? I'm thinking of the likes of Mr Sunshine, Chicago Typewriter, Hymn of Death, even Snowdrop etc...
It's not Sageuk cause we are past the typical historical drama (Joseon era style) but it's not modern Korea either. I am obsessed with the vibes/atmosphere of these "in-between centuries" or more so "interwar"/"postwar" period series and I can't wait for Gyeongseong Creature to come!
So if you are aware of the specific genre to qualify this era of dramas, or even other recommendations I am all ears!

Help... AHS had more chemistry with Rowoon than with JYB :') JYB as usual is phenomenalNot my first show from her and she once again never disappoints.AHS is...Ok I guess? He is consistent with his previous performances: good but not incredible either.A very confusing show that kinda demotivated me to even finish it but the production and the atmosphere is amazing and the story is still interesting (despite not being able to say I understood everything completely to this date).I do think they could have done a better job clarifying the plot. I have watched way more intricated and complex show that were still easy to grab onto thanks to how everything was presented.I understand the creative approach but they lost in clarity, which is a bit of a shame since understanding the story is still important at the end of the day to fully enjoy it.
I am also partial to the ending : it is satisfying but seems to lack something, it seems a bit too..easy?
Anyway.
7/10.
