I have only watched reply 1988 and 1997 to be honest 1988 was better however I had the biggest second lead syndrom of all times but its more friends and family focused which i think is the reply series strength the episodes I have to say are very long like very while 1997 eps were short although it might seem better the plot seemed to be lacking because of the eps length and it was more romance focused so I think you should watch 1988 but dont get too caught up in the romance factor cuz u might be disappointed

I agree it felt very wrong for him to be the killer while he was so caring in the first 7 eps it just felt like they wanted to shock everyone
