Hey, nice article. It brings back a lot of memories when I was active. It would've been nice to have a comment by the writer of the article. Like : how did the idea of writing it came out, etc... but I get that it's already a lot to read and write ^^
As if the Japanese adaptations were better... I liked it. Yes, some scenes were very american-like, but wasn't it the point? It's inspired from the manga, not a copy. It didn't capture the manga/anime, so what? if you look at it as a movie without thinking it's inspired from something, it has good stuff going on. I liked the fact that Ryuk was always in the shadows. It added some mystery to the character and made him more like a bad conscience for Light. And I don't say that the acting was good, it was alright... I've seen worse, but I've seen better. So yeah, not the best movie ever, but not bad. And really, you can't go wrong with Willem Dafoe...
I'm not sure how they will solve the murder of the wife of the cop and dad of the main girl. I mean Kim Jae…
as kate said, it was pretty obvious who the actor is, but we still don't know who's his character in the drama (albeit, the killer). He could be a low ranked police officer, the son of the chief, anybody, actually... That's the mystery :) I think they made it pretty obvious from the start. At least, if you've seen KJW in several dramas before ^^
i am very discouraged by the comments that this gets worse b/c i really don't like Aaron Yan's character…
I finished it, but good lord it was awful... The "romance" part starts late and isn't very interesting... All I could hear or see was soap here, soap there... meh. If you're looking for some Aaron Yan's dramas, this one is a big no.
Ahh Lee Hong Ki or the guy who got me into k-pop (like really) with his husky voice. I'll never forget the first time I heard him sing. I almost cried so much it was beautiful. I'm not so much into kpop anymore, but I still follow FTIsland with all my heart. Once a Primadonna, always a Primadonna.
Am I the only who'd be pissed after finding out that my childhood friend lied to me, and asked someone to pretend to be her? Oh you lied to me since day one? it's okay, I like you anyways oO
My main issue with all this isn't really the abuses themselves. I mean, I've seen/read stuff with that kind of relationship, and was bothered, yes. But what buggers me is that it tends to normalize that kind of relationship, which shouldn't be at all. and have on the long term a bad influence on inexperienced/young viewers, which like 60% of watchers (give or take). I am shocked to see teenage girl write about the fact that they dream of that kind of relationship, I mean wrist grab?Err whuuut? I'm okay with seeing a girl getting slapped or anything in a drama bc heck it's FICTION, after all
