I think I know why I prefer J-drama to K-drama. First, the length: Korean drama are very long and sometimes, you can feel that some scenes are too long and it takes a long time to get to the point.
Secondly, the genre/ stories: I have the feeling that all K-drama look the same.. maybe it's just me, but that's the feeling I have.
Most of the time, I feel that J-drama are more intimate... hmm that part is hard to explain, like you said, just a feeling :)

Kim Hyun Joong, from SS501? I've never listened to his music, I should try it sometimes ^^
I've only watched the first ep of Rich Man, Poor Women but I like it too :)
and I'm like you, I prefer J-drama to K-drama, but frankly Bridal Mask is awesome and I don't say that about a lot of k-drama :D

For music, I'm totally into those 2 guys: Jun Sung Ahn and Sungha Jung... They make covers on violin and guitar... They're really talented *o* And I'm also discovering BIGBANG's world, there's so much to listen to, if you take into account their solo activities and all.
And for now, I'm totally into Bridal Mask. I'm not really into k-drama but I gotta admit that this one is just amazing
