Another great episode. The last clip on LineTV is full of romantic scenes of the two main leads. They really radiate…
Yessss can we talk about these makeout scenes?! I watched that bed scene twice and thought, wow, how can you *not* be an item by the end of this show... acting out scenes like that (and so earnestly) and not be moved irl!

This is a nice fun Sex & the City type show that's not too heavy. At first they only released the first 6 episodes on Netflix and I was confused by the abrupt ending. but now 7-12 are showing, so I'll watch those and see how I feel about the rest of the season.

I watched this in Netflix and I don't know how to rate it, I thought it was incomplete, maybe it will have a second…
It looks like they just posted new episodes, 7 through 12. I felt that way too so I'm glad that wasn't the end
I've made it to the last couple episodes and I'm hanging onto this drama by a thread. It's not the original premise - I love slap/kiss style dramas with a decent dark ML, but by episode 4 everything has switched to external antagonists in a steaming mess of a melodrama plot. Which is crazy, since this is only 10 eps - usually dramas get way longer before they run out of real steam and start throwing every melodrama trick possible at the story (looking at you, Well Intended Love). Every time I thought the story might be getting back on track and worth finishing (I feel like eps 5-7 were unnecessary, honestly) the story moves right into another eye rolling twist. I don't know how my eyeballs are still in my skull at this point.

WHEW Type really made me hate him for the first 3 parts. I was afraid this show might go full Theory of Love so…
Oh and another thing - the whole "none of your business" in casual sexual relationships does not work because your casual partner NEEDS to know how many other people you're sleeping with, even if it's just a number, for their OWN sexual health. And for each other person that's not you, pretty much just assume "unprotected" because even with the best of intentions, caution gets lost in the heat of the moment, etc.

Title TharnType Spoiler
WHEW Type really made me hate him for the first 3 parts. I was afraid this show might go full Theory of Love so I'm glad they cleared things up. I've never seen casual or "friends with benefits" work out for *anyone* in the long term - the dynamic always gets unbalanced, someone will "catch feelings" and will start feeling like they have no right to grow attached. Humans are not robots, *every* relationship grows and changes over time and needs renegotiating. Moving on. Two more great kisses! And Mew's acting, how he can convey both his heart breaking on screen AND falling for Type harder - it's really breathtaking.
This was wonderful. The main and even the secondary couple really sold their feelings for each other. I love that no one separated from each other for long, and the romance stayed front and center. Even though I love fantasy, it took a few episodes to sell me on the magic in this - it didn't seem necessary to the plot and above all, magic *should* be necessary to a plot to include it. But I warmed up to it. The ML turned out to be an absolute snack, which doesn't hurt! The two gripes I had: 1) The story's emphasis was on "goodness" being a born trait through blood vs your actions and how you live your life, and there were so many "not really a bandit" moments or hints that everyone finding out the ML was actually from a well-off family proved his goodness instead of how he chose to live his life. The "inherently good because secretly from noble origins" trope isn't unique to dramas in any way, but it does irk me. 2) Lakorns have toned down a lot on forceful things happening to the FL, but as others have mentioned in other places on MDL, the love rival usually is not so lucky, and I'm seeing that now. The things that happened to the love rival, especially considering her past, were awful and shadowed an otherwise perfect drama for me. I wish they could find better ways to satisfy that "love rival gets her due" without subjecting them to complete debasement. Anyway, if you watch lakorns these aren't shockers, and this is definitely one of the best this year, so don't let that turn you off from watching it.

Oh my. Now this is what a lakorn should be, in all its wretched glory. There's screaming. There's slapping. There's…
I was on the fence about this, but now I'm sold. +5 points for "inappropriate office clothing" because I'm glad I'm not the only one watching lakorns like why is everyone dressed for the club lol

It's a tough thing to watch. Type's covert approach to the girl shows that he realizes something real is going…
This is such a great way to think of this development positively!

I LOVED Techno this week! Everything out of his mouth was hilarious. Gulf is pretty at good expressing a range of emotions during intimate scenes: the first 3 beats of that kiss and then he closed his eyes... it was perfect. A legit perfect kiss. Way more than I was expecting and I was afraid up until that point thinking no no no Tharn, don't try kissing him in public yet, he's still way too tense with the whole arrangement, but what a payoff! 3 out of 4 parts were so sweet they killed me. Too bad about the end - I'm more disappointed that Type wasn't upfront about it ("We're just casual, I'm gonna talk to this girl on Line because I can date whoever") rather than that covert crap. You can't be "casual" with someone as obviously far gone as Tharn, it gets ugly before it gets pretty. Tharn is beyond puppy love, he's doing laundry, buying sheets lol he's full-on DOMESTICATED :p
On Cheewit Puer Kah Huajai Puer Tur Oct 30, 2019
Final thoughts: it is good, but yep towards the end it does drag a little, not because it's slow, but maybe because of the storyline. Near the middle the whole "you must be good to a fault while everyone around you is terrible" trope annoyed me, not enough to quit but enough for me to slow down my watching. The ending would have been more satisfying if the main villain lived and had to answer for all the damage he did. The last bit felt like a race for everyone to die; I think a little more creativity on the writer's part could have left everyone with a better/more satisfying fate.
On Game Payabaht Oct 28, 2019
I enjoyed this - it's definitely underrated. What I liked best was that the "worst" events happened in the first few episodes instead of everything getting progressively worse like other dramas, so after you get it out of the way it's really about everyone's choices they make. The first 2 episodes are definitely rough, and the villain's actions so bitterly awful that you'll wonder how people like this exist. But then the villain is mostly getting in their own way after that, and doesn't block the path of the two romances. The main romance is good and doesn't flip to "sweet happiness" too soon from hate. You get to feel the barbed wire wrapped around their hearts first. And the 2nd couple is omggg ... so endearing and sweet. Anuchit does such a fantastic job in a lovesick role. I wish he could play the ML for once.

This episode was the BEST so far. It was emotionally ruthless. I love that Type opened up and told his story to Tharn and that it wasn't some drawn out misunderstanding or mystery that Tharn had to dig up. I also loved that Tharn told about his experiences, too. So much of BL is "I think I could be gay" and established, self-aware gay characters rarely get a chance to speak on their own experiences outside of family resistance. The whole episode was very touching, but when they pushed those beds together I think my heart stopped, lol. I died a few times in this episode, honestly. All those gray hairs waiting 7 days for this paid off...

They weren't kidding on twitter about that ending! This is a heavy, heavy emotional ride that basically goes down and doesn't come back up (much). It's a good examination of trauma, and it shows some points that a lot of other works leave out. I liked that it wasn't some dirty secret the ML was keeping to himself, and that you get to see his family and friends go through it with him. BUT it felt like the supporting roles' acting tanked somewhere in the middle of the last episode, like they were acting out lines they'd only read through once, strangely stilted and awkward. And I'm not someone who critiques acting quality usually - acting is like body odor, I don't think about it until you force me to. It surprised me, especially with Yacht, who I've seen in other things so I know he's not new to this. The two main leads remained excellent - James was amazing. I was also surprised at the shortness and maybe there's still a story behind that even though I hear it was a short novel, too. If they did suddenly have to shorten it, they did the best with what they had, imo. Anyway, I think Bright and Pramote were adorable, so I was happy to see that ship sail.
Just started this and didn't see the prequel but... should this have a fantasy tag? It looks like it should, and the prequel did? I was a little confused at first not knowing there was magic in this. But the leads have pretty good chemistry, and it's an enjoyable watch. Also the ML is way cuter on screen than the poster or his profile photo (what even happened there..?) I'd planned to just test the first episode and ended up watching the first 5 straight through.

hahaha This show is going to be one of those that you either like it or you hate it and I predict it is going…
Theory of Love was well-done, but left me feeling absolutely miserable emotionally. I definitely recommend 3 Will Be Free as a refreshing palate cleanser! Also, check out at least the first 2 episodes of The Effect... after episode 2 this show will look like Mary Poppins, for better or worse!

(I'm about to use "trash" in this 3 times, be warned lol) So I don't mind a bossy guy if he's bossy in the right ways (o_~) but Pete so far is a trash boyfriend. All those tantrums on Kao's time when he knows Kao is working to support his family and protect his mom's job... um, no. Even Kao knows it's unsustainable, which is why he was saying "What would happen if we broke up?" But also, who says that..?! That's trash. It would make any partner feel like trash to hear that and be sad and insecure. I would have snapped and said, "We can break up now and find out." I'm sure this whole series will be about Pete's [air quotes] growth as a person [/air quotes], but I need to get that rant out. Also, this show needs WAY more Sun/Mork time. They're starving the audience, not cool.

Thanks for the links - are the "special" episodes necessary to the timeline? Can I just watch episodes 1/2 and watch specials after the rest aired?
