i suddenly lost interest ini the last arc of mo jingli’s rebelion. like i could have cared less lol. maybe bcs not much of his built-up story?after lishan’s case, i think ep 35-40 is pretty much unnecessary
i mean after ye li’s story, mo jingli’s story just felt bland. yeah sorry mo jing li
finished rewatching this! i am increasing my score from 8 to 9. it’s rare to watch a-decade-ago drama and still liking it and not feeling bored at all while watching episode by episode.
the only minus point is definitely the ml’s acting. i gotta say that his acting was mediocre and overshadowed by other leads, i am saying this also after condidering his character that was supposed to be calculative, mysterious, ambitious and always poker face. I compared this with kim soo hyun’s portrayal in IOTNBO as moon gang tae, there his character could easily be overshadowed by the other 2 leads that have strong personality, but ksh did it very well anyway and his character also shone.
oh and i actually liked ml’s personality bcs his was the most realistic character here. and i liked his hairstyle in the beginning. but the post-breakup hairstyle with his hair down was meh. he looked much handsome and cooler in the earlier episodes.
regardless of that, the story itself still engaging and the score 7.3 doesn’t reflect how good this story was. it should at least have an 8 score.

just finished ep 13 and not once did i feel bored and this doesn’t feel that outdated. this deserves higher ratings for real. there are many kdramas after covid era that are worse than this.
i understand why ppl think sung joon looked stiff as hell. i felt it too, but again it maybe was the best portrayal of an ML with complex mind and ambitious side. he has to look nice and smiling on the outside but be cunning and detail inside. he did look too stiff tho. i can’t feel his feelings towards the fl
