just did a little more research on the Novel and Gala Zhangs character seems to be a good friend not love interest for the fl so his romance with the SFL is a GO (hopefully)
literally and also how he was a play boy/ he liked the FL for her looks then dated another woman just for fun…

Still find it funny that people say “second lead syndrome” although he had no real reason to like her other than she bumped into him in the first episode.
Also the way he handle the rejection in the cafe is more than enough for me to hate his character even more. Petulant child storming off after not getting his own way and trying to manipulate her with the kiss aka assault
I’ve still got episodes 19 and 20 left and the leads haven’t kissed yet but have held hands and put their foreheads together. (looks better than it sounds and will sense when you watch as the FL is very shy)
The second leads have kissed though. Was a good kiss, short but well worth the wait.
(Second leads being Yue Xin and Qi Yi by the way!)
If the leads don’t kiss it wont bother me as their chemistry is amazing and their intimate moments are cute. Aka shyly rubbing hands while sat together, the awkward but loving hugs, wise and romantic words etc etc

To me the kiss was pretty much assault. she was drunk and completely out of it but to him he was tipsy and alert and kissed her.
He also tries to use that against her when she rejects him which is vile in my opinion “I kissed you without consent that means you love me”
The ML didn’t ask because he’s probably a character with common sense as well as the inner security to know it won’t ever happen again considering how smitten they are for one another
This whole drama would have been better without the SML interfering the entire time. the fl tried to confess early on but he stuck his nose in and said look at me instead which is weird
hope he has a romantic plot as it’ll be cool to have an idol fall for her manager / agent
