It’s very slow-burn, and I don’t mean the romance, but the plot. Not much happens, but it gets dragged on…
Gosh, just unbelievable. I decided to give it one more chance and now at ep 9/18 would have been the perfect moment to tell him the truth, after all this dragging it finally seemed to round up nicely and being perfect to reveal everything but what? Of course they had to throw in yet another excuse last moment as to why they can’t. The whole series is hanging on this one string of made up excuse. Bad writing is what I call this. No thoughtful structure and engaging plot points. Therefore they have to resort to this kind of tactic each time, for like a million times instead of just making the plot more saturated. At this point even the excuse of it being not being a new drama doesn’t justify it anymore because no other drama, no matter the release date, even much older than this one, has bored me so much and been so lacking in plot yet. They should just have admitted that they did not have enough plot to fill this many episodes.

It’s very slow-burn, and I don’t mean the romance, but the plot. Not much happens, but it gets dragged on forever. It doesn’t feel like much thought was put into the storyline either. If nothing new happens soon, I might be too bored to keep watching. But I guess that’s the way it is with older dramas in general. I’m probably too used to watching newer ones.

Actually, it now seems that we might have a chance of having him as the male lead🤭 I low-key hope we’ll get…
I wrote this during watching the beginning of ep 1 and back then he seemed like a villain, and the drama description wasn’t clear about him being the ml either, it talks about Yun Gap and how Yeo ri wants to save him

Tbh I was really excited at first and the pacing was good but it’s becoming more and more dragged, like… the mc‘s are SUCH an interesting concept and could do so much and go trough so many adventures, like dragon and shaman, not something you see everyday, give me more of them, but instead they’re just there, at one place, fighting a battle that could’ve been resolved within a few episodes, with the same person too…for half the show, and still no end in sight. I’m starting to get bored, please tell me they won’t drag out that same storyline any longer or it feels like the story‘s potential is just lost, it’s literally got no tension anymore I’m just waiting for it to be finally wrapped up so that they can move on and do something actually interesting. It really just feels like they’ve strived off where the plot was supposed to go and are…just suck. Did they have no other plot ideas for new storylines? Really just feels like lost potential.

Title Doctor Slump Spoiler
I‘m one episode after the thing with the dying of the patient got resolved and it‘s kinda boring now. It low-key…
Like, the crime got resolved, the leads got together and now adding the whole trauma part with the dead father , and her wanting to break up because of that, kinda feels like a desperate attempt to make the show last longer, which it shouldn’t be, because it is an amazing and interesting topic by itself, it’s just that the timing… feels off. Like, it was never a problem before, but suddenly, the moment the plot ran out, it did. Also, I see what they’re trying to do with that one friend of his with the glasses, they’re showing that there’s definitely something off about him, and that yet again feels like they’re forcefully trying to find a new villain, he‘ll probably end up being yet again one of those famous kdrama psychos.
I feel to bored to go on.

I‘m one episode after the thing with the dying of the patient got resolved and it‘s kinda boring now. It low-key feels like they’ll just start dragging the plot unnecessarily from now on. I don’t really wanna watch it anymore, it kinda drifted away from what made me interested in watching it in the first place. I feel bored.

Ok, I did not bear to watch all of it but based what I’ve seen in the first episode, it’s plot really is just exactly the quality of a crappy corn storyline. It would have been best off as exactly that, corn, then it would be acceptable. I’m all for spicy scenes, but only when they fit into the plot, but here it’s the opposite, they try to fit some nonsensical, illogical, shallow plot around spicy scenes, that’s exactly what corn does.

On Heesu in Class 2 Apr 29, 2025
I agee with people who are frustrated by the straight couple getting the focus in this drama even though they’re supposed to be side characters. I would have loved to see more of heesu and seungwon as well, especially to see their relationship develop more and not just them getting together after a whole series of misunderstandings, while the straight couple had so much more. Especially seungwon was really neglected as a character, pretty shallow and not much depth, like, all characters had a personal arc but him, and he’s supposed to be the main love interest.
But putting that aside I really enjoyed the series. I have read the original ages ago and don’t remeber anything about it, so I guess that made it easier for me to enjoy this re-interpretation. I has a great production value (clearly above average in kbl’s tbh) and an interesting storyline. It had a great overall vibe and perhaps it had me more hooked than the original. I would say that it’s my favourite korean series with bl this year so far.

I agree, my guess is that maybe the reason for that might be that same-sex relationships are still looked down onto in Korean society, so maybe, the producers tried to be more “safe” by giving more of the straight characters, to insure more people might be drawn to watch it than in case it would have been a gay-focused series. Like, series with a focus on straight characters and gay characters only being as side-characters are more popular than those focusing on same-sex romance I guess. Perhaps that way they were able to secure more budget or sth. It’s sad and frustrating indeed, but at least did it at all.
Edit: In case I didn’t make it clear enough, I do not advocate such tactics. I find it very bad as well, I was just thinking of a possible cause why they did that.
