You know, I found audio version of 16th episode and I can tell you IM GLAD IT ENDED AT 15. What happens after is the worst psycho f-ed up shit possible. DO NOT TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER AND BE CONTENT WITH THIS ENDING OF THE SERIES EVEN IF ITS A CLIFFHANGER CAUSE ITS FOR THE BEST. I’m not gonna tell any details but Gu Hai is a Crazy Psycho who deserves to be locked up in prison! And looking back now Bai Luo Yin should have ran the moment met him. Sorry if I ruined the good impression of anybody but I just think you need to know.

not the camera angle 😂, thought we left that in the past. They’re literally getting married and we still don’t get just a peck on the lips actually shown, side-couple had no problem with it though. With all due respect to the actors, how can you literally play a gay couple getting married and seriously still be afraid of just a peck on the lips.
But putting that aside I loved it.

I’ve got a question to those who’ve read the novel. What chapters should I read to see the censored romance, I mean at what part do they start openly expressing they like each other and start getting together? Because I wouldn’t like to read everything all over again or maybe is it inevitable to read everything? Also, does the novel have a happy or sad ending?
Also, I’m currently at ep 25 maybe should I just switch to the novel now, what chapter would it be?

Really isn’t what it seems on the surface, looks like a dumb comedy but turns out it’s very deep, incredible writing. Talks about all kinds of love. By far the best GMMTV series I’ve ever seen. Also best transgender representation.

Am I the only one who feels like the story doesn’t make sense at all. Can someone explain please? I am currently at ep 21 and haven’t read the novel.
So first of all, the thing with the doors. There are only 12, right? So how come that Lan Zhu has been in countless doors, but when he was with Jiu Shi in the lower doors, he didn’t know anything about them at all and barely got out. Like, shouldn’t he have gone through all of them several times already and know about what exactly to do to exit them. How come that it seems like there are hundred doors when there are only 12? Shouldn’t the story in each of them be the same every time you revisit it? And also, why do they go in and out like it’s nothing when they could die any moment?
Second thing I don’t get: Bai Jie. I have heard that apparently in the novel Lan Zhu crossdresses and this woman is actually him. However, in the series, he never crossdressed in the first place an the only woman in the organisation was introduced earlier as a different woman. But, I have never seen her ever since and now, in ep 21 Jiu Shi said to lan zhu “aren’t you and Bai Jie the same person?” So now this doesn’t make sense at all anymore because first he wasn’t crossdressing and she was another woman but now suddenly they’ve changed things to him being her after all?
Please, someone help me out.

Totally agree. It’s so frustrating each time this happens and I wish I had never started watching it in the first place. I can’t handle seeing this yet again. Like, if you want a bromance, why don’t you just adapt a bromance. Don’t take a wonderful queer story with endless potential and destroy it. And they take away the opportunity of non-homophobic producers adapting the story in its true form in the future. If you’re against queer stories, then don’t f*cking adapt a queer story? And the majority of episodes airing during pride month adds a load more of disrespect to this situation.

I cannot even begin expressing my dissapointment. I adored it at first, a cute romance, perfect by itself, with an already interesting concept but then they pushed the crazy-obsessed-psycho-murderer trope and also handled it horribly. It literally ruined everything. The original concept was very lovely but then… So uncreative and it literally ruined every good feeling I had about this show. They really just could’ve come up with anything else, that would’ve helped the characters grow, in a way aside from this crazy bullsh!t, then it would’ve been a 10/10. They always do this with the best shows. It was a lovely romantic drama but ended up becoming god knows what. I’m so sick and tired of this. I just want a romantic kdrama, not ktrauma. The worlds already fuck€d up, all I want is just some romance where I do not have to worry about some fuck€d up shit happening. Is that really too much to ask for?

Personally, I think that the characters didn’t make sense. The way they acted and what decisions they made. I wish they had put more time and thought into character development so that I could comphrehend them more.
