Surprised that this lakorn went under the radar for some reason. There's no review on this MDL page either. So let me attempt to remedy that.

Art Pasut's face card is no joke. It's what kept me going after over 25 episodes. The story's great - lovers were separated and later died when they attempted to elope in the past (over 200 years ago). Per Buddhist beliefs, since the female lead took her own life, she will not be reborn and so her spirit ends up being bound to the tree under which her and her beloved's bodies now lay buried.
And there she stays for around two centuries as she waits for her lover to be reborn in this world. Over time, her tree is somewhat revered among the locals. People rush to pray to her tree, in hopes that the divine tree would help them win lottery. And this fame brings her her fiance, Theerat who recently lost his riches after he fell for his enemy's scam. He just visited the tree as his last resort (not really believing in this fantasy of a tree revealing winning lottery numbers - ofc, lol) but Phraethong meets her lover and of course helps him win.
She slowly begins to enter his life by gradually revealing herself to him and relating their trafic past. He does not believe it, but chooses to remain on fence since he didn't believe spirits existed either until a "tree" made him rich again, and there he is, speaking to its spirit.
Interesting so far, but but but, oh man, this guy seems to have a strong fan base of relentless women. All the people in the past are reborn now, but everyone is unaware of their past lives, except for Phraethong's lady-in-waiting, now called Aunt Da - who works at Theerat's home.
Of course MML's OWs are also reborn.
Exhibit A: Ms. May works at Theerat's office and they've been dating for years. Costume designers have ensured that this character wears skimpy clothes and super bold makeup which equals to a villain stereotypically. She seems alright at first, but we later learn that she's money hungry and a cheats on Theerat. Eek. But the person she's cheating on Theerat is :
(a) The guy who killed Theerat in the past life, and forced Phraethong to unalive herself. (b) Was Ms. May's BROTHER is their past incarnation. (c) Theerat's enemy in this life - Rangsiwat.
Exhibit B: When we have fianlly dealt with "shameless" Ms. May who wanted to get back with Theerat at any cost, after Rangsiwat discarded her - surprise surprise, FML has an evil twin who wanted her brother in law in past life, and she wants him in this one too. Ugh. I skipped episodes after this. Went straight from 26th to 43rd. Can't do the whole thing again with a clingy OW.
The MMCs need to be less nicer when dealing with OWs in lakorn. There, I said it. At least it had a HEA in the end.
Could have been chef's kiss with that premise, but I hate it when they introduce scheming OWs. Plural. It's like we, viewers finally see some light, but need to go through the whole grind again.
The leads had a great chemistry though. Was a little more PG compared to some of the older, lakorns which I've watched.
Mik's team always seem to choose boring scripts for him. All his lakorns that I've watched so far feature him being sidelined by other couples/secondary characters and this one's no different.
This was soo good! The ML & FL have a great chemistry but their inital interaction strongly felt like a dub-con. The last ep ends with a HEA and the cinematography is beautiful. Praying for more such lakorns in my future ✨️✨️
My cravings for this year's detective duo is now satisfied 😌
Don't be discouraged by comments about them not liking the FMC. I'm genuinely confused by them because she seemed amazing to me. Not your typical Mary Sue who needs rescuing and is leagues smarter than her peers (usually the MMC too).
Maybe ep 1 and 2 is slow to get through but it gets so much better after that time jump. The leads have a relationship where they respect each other and the MMC doesn't coddle the FMC just because they caught feelings.

Update: The production was really good and i swooned over their costumes. But around 12th ep, the comic cue was toned down. I expected to laugh my way through this (that trailer seemed to hold good for first half) tbh.
