PS: I just noticed in china they are airing for 42 episodes but IQIYI International is for 40 episodes the duration are different from China one because The one we streamed for IQIYI INTL are the DVD version
I heard they had breaking news and it took hours so they cancelled the broadcast schedule but in china they gave 2 episodes for VIP E30-31 instead when it supposed to be one episode yet International IQIYI only gave yesterday episode which is only Ep30. Too bad.

Most of the novel reader called the scriptwriter "dead brain scriptwriter" that ruined the story. I think...the execution was really really bad...even the rebellion scenes look "?".
Not only the theme but they ruined almost important things on Novel.
Even the novel writer has spoken out today that the drama had cut and changed many important things on novel. This is quite sad...how a big and successful director and production house even they casted many potential actors yet...editing and script ruined it.

Someone who read the novel told me that The Empreror used Lady Zhang to protect his Empress from bad things/omen. In order to protect his love for her, he pampers lady zhang. My chinese friend also told me this Emperor is one of the most benevolence and kind hearted emperor in China history. All he does have consequences so he tried not to show his love to emperor so she could live long with him.
