Thank you! No need to apologize, the way you explain it does make sense. I just assumed that he knew she still liked him which made the scene extra confusing to me. I still feel like he doesn't really have a right to be offended that he's a second choice now since he's contributing to her desparate situation. Also with every episode that passes I'm less convinced that he's playing a role and that he really is on Lord Hanfeng's side. But that makes everything even more confusing to me cause my brain is like, wait you're ok doing anything for power and helping a mass murderer but when she's doing anything for power and offering to marry someone she doesn't love that's going too far??? My guy, make it make sense lol

I agree with everything you've written. Also, MY being the crown prince is a huge secret and if it gets out it would be disasterous for her entire kingdom, not just herself. If she tells JBZ and he is angree and doesn't forgive her (which she's already conditioned to believe because of her upbringing), what's to stop him from having her captured or killed? She can then never compete again in the tournament and her people don't get the blessed rain. Her little brother would become heir and he would be a terrible ruler. The fate of her entire kingdom rests on her secret. Considering the consequences it would take a huge leap of faith to trust JBZ and it would also take her believing in unconditional love which she has never experienced and has no reason to believe is real

We've seen in flashbacks that she was pretty open about liking him and wanting to marry him but then in episode 21 when he says "why don't you just marry me then" and she pretty much says sure and offers herself in exchange for him helping her (I know they're both kind of doing it mockingly, but still), he gets angry that she's taking her marriage and virtue too lightly and offended she would just marry anyone. But he was the one she originally wanted, she never would have considered Ji Bozai if Yan Xiao hadn't betrayed her. Yan Xiao is essentially the one who put her in this situation in the first place, so why is he so insulted? Also, since he was the one she originally wanted it makes no sense to me that Yan Xiao thinks she would just marry anyone since he knows she always liked him. And what did the princess mean when she said "do you think everyone is like you" after Yan Xiao said she should just marry her other friend? This scene left me so confused....

I literally came here about to write the same thing. I'm getting increasingly frustrated with him. He's not just arrogant but he's also needlessly mean to everyone, including the fl and I honestly don't understand how she can like him at this point and constantly make excuses for him. I'm still enjoying the drama but I don't know how long that will last unless he starts to treat people better. And I don't care that he's doing things for "their own good" or behind the scenes or whatever, because that doesn't excuse constantly talking down to people (him saying "you wouldn't understand" to her in ep 7 really annoyed me) or keeping things from them

I also think he's overcompensating. He's trying so hard to make it look like he doesn't care that he comes off as rude or unfeeling

I don't think Thyme pushed Talay. Based on Thyme's reaction to Gorya when she came with the security guy and the dialogue, I think Talay made himself fall so make Thyme look bad. Thyme did grab him though and was very threatening, which is also terrible, but Talay was making it even worse to get Gorya to distrust Thyme. It annoys me a bit that Gorya reacted like she did. I get that based on Thyme's past it's logical but I would have thought she'd remember the misunderstanding with Tesla...

These are all good points. And at least he realised that talking about being a couple was a bit too much for now so he went for being friends. I don't believe for one second though that he can "be a little less in love every day".

Does anyone else think the fl forgave the ml way too fast for buying off all the victims of the fire? It only took one train ride and they were back to being on really good terms.... Maybe it's because he's finally accepted that they can't be together, at least for now, and has stopped making empty promises?

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around cause I've seen the Japanese version and the amnesia plot only lasts for 1 ep there. In the 2nd season in the J version his mom kept trying to pair him up with his arranged fiancee but it wasn't really working and the ML was always in love with the FL. I haven't seen the Taiwanese version but I've read that the 2nd season there was awful because of a stretched out amnesia plot. I might be wrong about that though.

I interpreted that scene differently. To me she wasn't ready to go on a proper date with Thyme because even though they've been having nice moments she still has some lingering feelings for Ren and those nice moments they shared don't necessary mean that Gorya likes Thyme romantically now, she just feels closer to him. But then Kaning suggests they go on a double date and Gorya actually says that she would like that (maybe cause it's not as serious as a "proper" date and you can go with friends to the zoo, idk). Gorya WANTS to go, it's just that Thyme is being stubborn so when Kaning and the uncle are convincing Gorya, they're not convincing her to go on the date, but rather just to play along with Thymes antics. She doesn't need any convincing, she just needs to get him to agree. At least that was how I understood it.

I'm not sure Thyme knows how close friends Ren and Gorya are. He knows she has/had a crush on Ren and has only seen them together a couple of times, always in possibly romantic situations. Like almost kissing in front of Mira's poster and Ren kissing Gorya's forehead at the airport. And when he sees them hugging he's standing quite far away and may not see their tears so he just assumes it's romantic, especially since there seems to be something suspicious going on between them regarding Gorya's phone. I also personally think the main reason Thyme is angry is because of Ren, not Gorya. Ren is his best friend and Thyme sees it as a betrayal that he went after Gorya, knowing how much his best friend Thyme likes her. I'd honestly be really upset by that too.

About Gorya lying, I can see why it comes off as unnecessary but I think she's just reeeeally confused right now. Imo she's starting to develop feelings for Thyme but hasn't quite gotten over Ren so she feels almost like she's cheating on Thyme when she had that moment with Ren and dropped her phone. Obviously she isn't cheating at all, but I can see why it would make her feel uneasy or even a bit guilty especially since Thyme has been quite honest with her and she might feel like she's been doing something she's not supposed to. I think she probably would have done the same with Ren if the situation were reversed.

That being said, all three of them are being pretty immature and ott in their responses to each other but I guess it wouldn't be a drama otherwise x)

I noticed that she also calls M.J. Pi. So it's just Thyme who gets (well deserved) attitude from her, which I guess will then turn into intimacy <3

Am I the only one who got angry at YS recording JJ's phone call with that business partner? I really don't understand why she just let him off the hook for that so easily, especially since she has stood up to him before. I get that they're competitors at work but it's a really underhanded thing to do, especially to your partner. YS' behavior in general towards JJ in ep 31 annoyed me.

I completely agree with this. I had some trouble getting through the first 2 episodes, no trouble with 3 and 4 and by the end of the 6th episode I was sad there wasn't more to watch yet.
