Finally got around tp watching this and i enjoyed it, but i dont understand why Wu Qian was so nice to cheng feng.. loke hes blaming wu qian for his grandama, when hes the one who left her to stop what wu quan and hong yi were doing. He used xiao xiao's feelings to spy on them...he let hong yi's brother die. Im scratching my head to find a reason for Wu Qian's loyalty.
on episode 19 and still loving it...but I don't particularly like the FL, i don't get where her attitude towards him comes from. She puts him in danger the 1st time she sees him, plays mind games and gets upset at every little thing. i hope they explain some of her behavior later on.
After the 1st like 3 episodes i was frustrated with the princess, so i came here to check reviews and see if there was a consensus There was, shes horrible , but the comments were so harsh i thought maybe folks are just piling on and it wasnt that bad.
Nope, i think some comments undersold it...shes horrible im on episode 18 and she hadnt gotten any better at all. We have really cool female characters like baichuan and Ka dan, the lady general in her brief time was nice, even her maid is more enjoyable than her...ive been ffwd everytime she shows up, but thats like half the show... i really hope in season 2, shes better, diminished screen time or they find a better love interest for the ML
Currently on episode 9 and while I am enjoying it.. I did read lots of the comments so I know he matures but I actually don't like the main lead.. He's smug and manipulative... Also as so many c and k-dramas do the romance is so telegraphed.. That him ending up with the FL... Which means that he's basically a charming rogue with a golden heart who becomes better because of a woman is kinda overdone territory... I'd much rather see Wang kuan and Zhao Jian work their complications out and see a romance of the two archtypes... But it won't stop me from enjoying what looks like a really good drama from the reviews.. I can put my headcannon off to the side
