I struggled to finish ep1 😅 maybe I'll give it an other try
The first 2 episodes are really "set the stage" episodes, especially ep1. It really starts to find it's rhythm around ep3, but then I found it hard to put down (even on rewatch!). :D
Too bad that you didn’t stick around, than your observations would probably have been different.
Are there actual defensible reasons then? I don't need to know what they are, just if they really exist.
I've just been let down by too many dramas where the only reason the ML shuts the FL out or tries to control her without telling her anything is some macho sense of needing to protect her rather than trust her or communicate and there isn't any actual intrinsic reason, just "it's dangerous so I'd rather hurt you myself than risk you getting hurt as my full partner in this dangerous situation". Never mind that usually leads to the FL getting into danger because *gasp* she keeps making decisions like an autonomous human being with what little information she does have. And then the ML is like "stop making trouble but, no, I still won't tell you what's going on, just sit still and do nothing...um, indefinitely, 'til I handle things".
So if that's _not_ the direction this drama goes, maybe I'll give it another try?
