The scenes focused on space are majestic, no wonder this is one of the most expensive dramas ever made. I like the humor, it's not as embarrassing as some people swore, even the fly scene wasn't too bad. As always Gong Hyo Jin is amazing, her character is simple, naturally charming. Min Ho is better than ever, he's finally been given a role that breaks out of the over-the-top heir box. The scenes of the two of them together are a delight, I like how they're are long and not exactly full of clichés to make us ship them, they're building something unique. Drama so good that I don't give a damn if they cheat on their partners or not, I actually want them to be the first humans to successfully mate in space as several parts of the script are leading me to think
I dropped the main series in the second episode because I didn't like the two leads compared to the manga's version, but I gave this spin off a chance and loved it! Hope to see Shimekake Ryuya in another drama soon, he's a cutie
I feel that the mystery plot went nowhere, it could have been more interesting and better resolved, what really held me the whole way through this drama were the relationships between the characters. I was really invested in how they were going to solve their problems and the choices they would make, it was an aspect that really surprised me by how different it was from other dramas. And I loveeeeeed Gong Yoo's character, he's such a loser and that's so attractive.
I particularly prefer it when Yoo Yeon Seok plays nice guys like the two doctors in Hospital Playlist and Dr. Romantic, because it makes me forget that strange statement about women he did in the interview for the movie Mood of the Day. His character in this new drama gives me the ick and there are too many D/S inuendos for me to really enjoy watching it (like what did he mean when he said he thought she was quietly and obediantly living under his control?). I'm still going to watch it because I'm very curious to know how Soobin's character is going to escape from this situation
I can't help liking the protagonists, although the first episodes showed them in an exaggerated way, 3 and 4 managed to show a more natural side to both of them. Oddly enough, I identify with them a lot, maybe that's why I can like them and understand their nuances. There are still plenty of silly moments, but they're well balanced with more serious scenes, just like in any normal kdrama, so I don't understand the hate anymore. I've commented before how I wished for a deeper connection between the protagonists and I think the last two episodes have shown that perfectly, I'm very glad. I also loved the scenes where he can't help but treat her nicely and pamper her, it was so cuteeee.
Even though there were a lot of embarrassing scenes, I liked the vibe of the first two episodes. I'm very curious about the future development of Sejeong's character and how they're going to portray her falling in love with the male lead. And while we're on the subject of falling in love, I'd like the characters to really get to know each other, rather than their relationship just being the result of push-pull situations and empathy visualizations, I've seen enough of that in kdramas. Regarding the second leads, I'm not feeling their individual impact as I should, so there's no much hope for them as a couple, but maybe it's too soon. Looking forward to the next episodes!
I don't get the hate for this one, it was such a fun watch. I love it when a rom-com's couple is a little messy and Kim Rae Won and Gong Hyo Jin are the cutest drunkards
watched ep. 2 and I'm still hating their dynamic (Hokko is too nice and foolish), but I will keep watching because the production is really good, i would like to see Hokko's growth and Koseki Yuta character is cute (love me a nice guy)
I'm a big fan of the manga and to be sincere I haaaate the casting for Morita and Kurosawa. I love their characters so much and I simply can't feel the actors chemistry because they're both bland . I'll keep watching but without much hope.
Too bad it's a romantic drama, I wish she would become super evil and humiliate him. It's okay to be a manwh*re, but there's nothing worse than an unctuous man.
I'm really curious about why they decided to do this spin off since it's not a common thing in the kdrama industry (I've seen this happen with jdramas), did the director and screenwriter liked the chemistry between the actors? Did they want to innovate? Did they fail to deepen the story line in No Gain No Love and thought a separate story would be the answer? I'm dying to know
too bad several plots were not properly closed, but even though the ending was a bit abrupt I liked the overall vibe of the last episode. the firsts part made me very emotional, in general I don't like how kdramas deal with funeral scenes but this one was very well done. I think some situations could have been handled differently, but considering the characters' nature, everything fell into place too and to be honest, the big thing about this drama is precisely the weird and very fool characters. overall it was a nice trip, now it's time to dig spice up our love because i'm a suuucker for the second lead couple, don't judge me
