I just saw the 9th episode raw.. Did they just announce a new season at the end or a special to continue the original…
I think it's another special. The printed words (I think, roughly) say there is one more, an original story called The Whereabouts of the Corpse, in which Tabito is kidnapped...Where the heck is the body???? ^_^ And then, you can see the full story at Hulu (Japanese Hulu that is). Then info about where to order the DVDs, which was a separate ad I believe, in other words, I don't think it's an extra on the DVD although I might have misunderstood. I don't think it's aired yet, but I could be wrong. I did go to the series' homepage but there wasn't any info yet that I could see.

mute, blind and deaf? - fck, i would definitely kill myself in this situation
It's weird though, not being able to express yourself or relate to the world does drive anyone crazy, look at the famous writer Helen Keller...She was born that way and was beyond frustrated as a child until she met her teacher Anne Sullivan who knew there was another way for her to interact with the world. And then HK went on to be an incredible communicator who left her mark on the world and loved her life. When I think things are rough, I think of her.

Ugh...thought the writers were taking a break to make the script better...no real new material in ep 11 that wasn't predictable, lots of unnecessary/repetative conversations, and the once-smart detectives doing dumb things...hope tomorrow will be much better!!

There is another based on a novel by Yamasaki Toyoko (the famous author who wrote the books that Shiroi Kyoto and Karei Naru Ichizoku are adapted from) that I believe I remember being shot quite nicely (w/ a higher budget than usual), if that's your #1 thing you're looking for...it's called Unmei no Hito, and certainly has flawed characters and power struggles.

Also, what about the recent kdrama The Good Wife? Have you seen that? If I recall, I think it has all of the above too, and is also a legal drama like Whisper. Awesome that you care about lighting...there have been films I was completely not into but enjoyed watching for the beautiful lighting. heh heh

Am I the one person who has no clue what a winter wood is LOL...Anyway this drama looks good:D
I was wondering the same thing! Thanks for explaining. I thought the synopsis actually just sounds like the plot of the original classic book, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein!

I know you're a moderator, so I thought I'd mention that another user has noticed that there's someone who immediately rates every new J-drama a 1 (at least new...many others too?). So when there aren't many people giving early ratings, the rating is automatically low and makes us think that maybe the drama isn't very good. Is there a way for you guys to find out who is doing this? Thanks for your time!

6.3 rating ? is it so bad ?
I doubt it. Apparently, as someone pointed out, there's a user who should go by the name of ihatejdramasandtheworld who likes to waste time immediately rating every new J-drama a 1. So when there aren't many people giving early ratings, the number will automatically be low.

There's a person gives 1 rating to any Japanese drama that appear on front page.
What. That is way weird. And super annoying when there aren't that many individual ratings to contribute to the number we see. Like, I saw the 5 and wondered how bad the first episode could be...

Well, now I have to say you definitely don't want to watch this. I'm hoping it gets better, but after the first 6 or 7 episodes I loved, suddenly it's going exactly the way you said you hate...making previously smart characters suddenly dumb to slow things down. Do you watch Japanese crime dramas? There are lots of good ones that are more old school investigations.

I like Shin Jae Yi and all, but I hate it when the women use themselves as bait when they, 1- don't know…
Yeah, I totally didn't get it. Wth was her plan? Surely she had one and something just went wrong?? Which they should have hinted at instead of making her look utterly stupid or suicidal. Ridiculous.

Is it next week or the week after that we ll not have any tunnel ep. airing ?
I read the same thing about why they were taking a week hiatus, and I'm really glad. I loved the first 8 episodes, but the last two felt totally different, like filler, where not much happens because they either don't know where the plot is going or have to make everyone dumber to slow things down. Even the flashbacks, which I thought were so well done previously (super short and meaningful), were long, unnecessary, and redundant.

I mean, the only thing that wasn't predictable or something we already knew was you-know-who's comment about Seon Jae's mom. Everything else was so repetitive and not suspenseful, and the rest was the police talking endlessly about how bad it was that they couldn't catch the killer. And somehow suddenly PKH and KSJ, who were previously smart and observant, are being made to look dumb. And didn't they already realize in previous episodes that the dots from 30 yrs ago show there are 2 you-know-whats? Anyway, so relieved to hear they're going to work on the storytelling, because I truly don't want this potentially great drama to nosedive...

I agree with you about wanting to see sharper investigating, it could be better in that regard, and I suppose that's always a script thing, unless the writer is purposely trying to point toward real societal issues. Still, what we consider today incompetence would look different decades ago when investigative science and procedure weren't common knowledge and databases and immediate communication weren't simple. I guess I'd say that if you aren't finding it humorous or the time-travel element intriguing, no point in plugging along. But the characters/relationships do develop beyond ep 3 if you decide to try again later.

Not sure what countries can access which, but you can stream it from regular movie sites such as 123movies. I normally avoid those unless I really can't access the movie elsewhere, as they come with tons of lso cookies and I wouldn't be surprised if there's adware too...but if you have the right cleanup stuff on your browser, it's not really a problem. You can usually find the bigger Asian films that had international releases with good dvd-quality subs.

If you're referring to the chief not seeing the connections between the murders, I also was like huh? But then when I realized how much time went by between them (a year or more is condensed in the first ep) and how procedures were so different 30 yrs ago...it was more believable. Also, note that these murders are based on the most famous unsolved serial murder case in S.Korea, so there is some real-life elements in terms of how it was investigated (although not closely).

About the 'violence'...now that I think of it, I guess there's a cultural comedy element to the 'violence'...The juxtaposition of Park Kwang Ho as this curmudgeonly old-timer from the 80s suddenly thrown into 2017 where 'we can't beat anyone up anymore' ...it's pretty hilarious if you're familiar with how things have changed over the past 30 years in this part of the world, although it's probably funnier for the older set. But as Rtee said, if you keep going, you'll see more of the contrast between PKH and Kim Seon Jae, who is more cerebral.

Kiss Asian doesn't do their own subs. They rip from fansubs or membership sites. Love Me if You Dare was licensed to Viki, if I recall, so it went quickly. If a drama is airing with English subs in other countries, it also becomes available faster. Otherwise it is the kindness and hard work of fan subbers, who do this on their own time. Hope that helps your understanding...

where can i watch this show?
Not sure, but usually for J-dramas, there are fansub lists that have them for download. Try googling it...I never download so I can't pointout one, but actually a ton of streaming sites rip from these fansub sites. Off the top of my head I think there's one called Jdoramafans or something along that line? I'm sure you can find a bunch with a search...
