I’m not a source material person but what was her mom‘s ending in the novel? Just to go spoiler tag on it…
Her Stepfather has a mistress. Her mother realises that at the end of the day her step daughter is her husband's biological child so after the divorce she will go with her dad. Yifan also ends up cutting off her mother so she ends up alone with no support.
If they don't give Yifan's mom her novel ending or preferably something worse, I will actually rate this drama a 1/10. I want to see her mom suffer so bad. That woman does not even deserve hell.
Just ignore me, I'm just being picky. Don't take me seriously 😭
But the idea of Yifan becoming a dance teacher in six months is really unrealistic. After not dancing for eight years, it would probably take her six months just to get her old skills back, that too only if she's super talented and practices a lot. A break that long would make her rusty, and with ballet, where flexibility is so important, getting back to that level is tough. So, the fact that she not only overcame the gap but got good enough to teach kids is just too far-fetched.
I know in dramaland all of this happens but as a dancer myself it actually made me laugh when I saw her clip of teaching the kids 😭
The sad thing is that I actually have a friend who experienced something like this - her mom remarried when she…
Omg I hope your friend has found better people in her life that treat her right! And yes this unfortunately happens so often because the kids from the previous relationship don't fit in their "perfect family" equation. I would not wish this on anyone.
her mother should really be ashamed of her existance and failure as a mother all together , I understand she made…
She is extremely selfish. She was so scared of offending her husband even a little that she ended up ruining her relationship and causing bucket loads of trauma to her only daughter.
Your child recently lost her dad, you have remarried and she does not feel welcome in your new house, instead of talking to your new husband you kick her out and make her live with relatives that don't treat her well and then when she tells you about the attempted SA you not only disregard her words but also don't have the courtesy to stay back to console her and make sure she is okay.
And now you think making some meals for her and bothering her with unwanted messages is going to repair your relationship?
I need this woman to die with soul crushing guilt and end up in the pits of hell.
What is even going on with the second couple? I absolutely love them individually but I think as a couple their storyline is very messy.
Firstly, I personally think the makers should have given them a more comedic sort of cliche storyline which would have been nice a contrast to our main couple's more somber romance.
The grandpa storyline feels really out of place in this drama, and I have seen people saying that he is taking up the main couple's screen time, I think he is also taking up the second lead's screen time. We could have seen their romance develop more if Grandpa was not given so much importance.
Also, what just happened in today's episode? He just randomly confessed to her, Xiang Lang suddenly came back, and the conversation the three of them had was such a huge mess. Tbh until today I was fine with the second couple's plotline but they really dropped the ball in this episode.
Lastly, In my opinion, the second couple does not have enough chemistry for me to overlook the issues with their story. Do I still want them to get together? Yes. But am I enjoying them as much as I could have? Unfortunately, I'm not.
