I agree. So many are focusing on the cheating. they are missing the fact that the relationship between ML and FL started to break down long before 2ML came into the picture. You can see it at the family dinner how isolated and i invisible she felt. They haven’t had sex in 6 months. The disconnect has been there for a while.

I think the MLand FL are each other’s crutch. There needs to be a clean break between them, or they will resent each other. In my opinion, they are better off just being best friends. The male lead sees the FL as someone that always comes to his rescue when he’s in need. She has been rescuing him since they were 7 years old. That in itself can put a heavy strain on any relationship. Who’s rescuing her? She doesn’t even have her family’s support. No one sees the pain she’s in other than the 2nd ML. she feels seen with 2ML. The 10 year relationship she has with the ML has made him blind to her current suffering because he always sees her in that hero role.
